HDB rules on renting have flipflop a few times. Looks like b4 1997, must stay in HDB and rent out Condo. Then they changed to can stay in Condo and rent out HDB. There was too much noise from the public the last few yrs, they went back to the new old ruling. Must check the ruling with HDB as it looks like HDB flats bought prior to the new ruling is not sujected to the new ruling but still need to satisfy the minimum period of occupation by owner.

You can only rent out condo and stay in HDB, not the other way. If you are caugth, they will take back your HDB. HDB flat is for your own living and not for rent out the whole unit to make money.
When the price of HDB is shooting up, they will sure go around to caught these ppl to bring down the price back to a comfortable level. Same for some PRs that brought HDB and rent it out after they went back to their country.
If a lot of ppl doing such thing, is an indication of property over heating.

Simply too risky to short. But touch-and-go for kopi money maybe.
Last Friday was a classic scenario: Opened at .505. Fell to 0.495. By noon, shot all the way up to .53.

Word of Advise: A day or two ago, many posts were made to scare 'small fry's off this counter... well, for each dip the counter rose sharply... my take is wait for official announcement.

but this counter been up for diff reasons...its dual list brother, how often this type of chance comes?
Companies carry debt to finance their businesses that will generate more profit than the interest rates their debt asks for.
In today's context, absolutely normal for companies today have debt(s).... even Noble Group who holds alot of cash - for liquidity, financing and acquisition - has Debt too.
I think it's ignorant to play up the 'debt' term.
The only few known who are debt-free is 'Apple' - but seriously, they don't know what to do with it.... what happens when US dollar becomes 'banana notes'? History always repeats itself.

btw, its fact that the rich are making money from the poor to be richer, for eg QE3...inflation all up, no impact to rich, poor pple like me jialat jialat sigh
