Hey friend, yiming! how are u with this? are u still holding or did u join me and let go and get some moeny..
Am now busy with my work not much time to monitor...doesn't seem to have much action.
I think the strong holder of this stock haven't let go but bewear when EU situation get nasty, once they let go, this one prepare to plunge.
The takeover too hype up. Might have to wait some time i think.
Im quite pessimistic with global situation, looking at gold and preserving my cash now for some bargain hunting when STI plunge.
I'm not vested in this, dad is old time holder, he still has around 30lots, not much.

Hope u Huat if u still holding.

Good decision. If you bought below 1.65, cut losses and sell.
If you bought above 1.65, then don't abort and hold onto your baby. If you are lucky, you will be blessed with a beautiful child. If not, don't be anxious about a miscarriage because your baby is dead anyway.

Europe and US shoudl be up today...if STX OSV still drop tomorrow, I think better sell....
And do hope the sale go through as soon as possible..... |

But without the take over, this stock would be trading at 1.1 - 1.3 range...it is with the take over, the price surge.....if you own this stock from ipo till now....
Not to forget the situation in Europe now.......

Think we can just forget about the takeover and focus on the fundamental.
If this is a good counter, market will respond appropriately. If it's over-priced then the price will be corrected to the reasonable value.
Just the recent price ($1.60) released in the  so-called takeover news has somehow caused  some impact to this counter.
Good luck! =) |

No movement today...

Another drama...

Good news? Bad news?
Up? More down???
Expect to see this counter to be quiet for a while before moving (up or down). The takeover has caused too much of drama...
Agreed with eddyte, a  good opportunity to buy from weak holders.....
dow no impact on stx :S not a good signn...

Well...my takes on this stock is STX Corp is being forced (on gunpoint may be??) to sell STX OSV by their banks (1.60 or so...)
So...Are we being forced by our banks to sell also? If not....I don't see why we need to sell at this price.
Ignore the noises...study the fundamentals and technicals. Whatever the forced selling price is really doesnt matter at all if you know the company well....
In fact..it might be a good opportunity to buy from weak holders.....  |

Of course, you don t understand. Those are players...or coward. Players earn money through selling... coward has not idea what is going on...
To me, i short, and I am leaving this. Good luck to those who still have faith in this. I don't have crystal ball, just stick to what you believe in. :) CHeers.

I also don't understand....I think those sellers are buying rumour and selling the fact... however, I think the deal might be announced soon... as the potential bidders have been unofficially disclosed...
I think it's still a good buy based on fundamental.. STXOSV is a cash cow and strong in earning.

free falling..... :S
hey guys i hope i am wrong.   many yrs back there was a strong counter, see if anyone of u remember, the stakeholders just hold on to get dividend, nobody wanna sell, the trading volume very small. the major shareholder wanna delist but the price to pay will be high as nobody wanna sell, so they deploy a " fake" buy out activities n rumours certain price, the volume started to get high n ofcos the major shareholder started to buy in. the " talk" was lengthly n the price started to fall.   it took a while then they said buy over not successful.
1 yr later it was delisted, anyone got a idea which counter was tat?

News
According to a Bloomberg article on 17 May: (i) there could be a potential
delay of the sale of STX Corps 51% stake in STX OSV (STXO) and (ii) STX
Corp (parent company of STXO) may face liquidity concerns with Korea
Exchange Bank if the sale does not go through. STX Corp has issued a
public statement saying that the STXO sale process and talks with Korea
Exchange Bank are going well and that it is still committed to its plan to
sell W25 trillion of assets, which includes STXO.
Analysis
We think the views of investors who bought STXO for exposure to this
event may be affected by a delay in the stake sale. If the STXO stake sale
process is extended, STX Corps position in sale negotiations may be
affected by rising pressure to address its own debt / liquidity issues
(FY2011 net debt to equity ratio of 1.38X) in a timely way.
That said, we believe the above issues do not have any impact on STXOs
fundamentals and see the share price decline yesterday as unjustified
against STXOs strong fundamentals (we project 27% yoy increase in
STXOs orders in 2013E and note that STXO continues to generate strong
cash flows and has a net cash balance sheet) and low valuations (2012E P/E
of 7.8X).
We also note that Och-Ziff recently increased its stake in STXO to 21% from
20% previously, which we think signals a key shareholders strong belief in
the underlying fundamentals of the company.
Implications
While the above news may be negative for share price sentiment, we
would see this as a potential buying opportunity given that the attractive
underlying fundamentals of the company are unchanged. Reiterate our Buy
rating on the stock. |

I think as they are acting as a group bidder, they will be considered as 1 entity.

What makes there will be a mandatory takeover or delisting?
Looks like 51% to be split into 2 parties (Italian and Carlyle). So each holding less than 30 percent.
Oz Fund also bought recently in the market.
STX Corp is forced into selling STX OSV at 1.60 or so.....too bad. This stock should be worth much more than that.  |
