Will be good for those who short this earlier.....as long as the sale drag, this will continue...hence, the sale better be announced soon....
If cancelled, think $1-1.1x is possible after paying dividend of 10 cents...
bear attack!

Not true lor

haiz...gone gone... :( no strength anyhow for the takeover news...think if the deal never go through...should be disasterous
If it is 50-50, will you still bet on it?
If you are a woman, you will hang on and bet on it.

If you are a man, you will cut loss and sell.

It is our hard earn money...if it is 50-50%, do we still bet on it???
IPO at 0.79, sale once at 1.33....STX Europe is willing to part with the share at below 1.60......STX Europe must be very happy now...........
Good fundamental as it build high end OSV that support oil rig......high oil price must maintain so that oil exploration is strong........

Friends,
STX OSV is a well managed company being sold by its parent (STX Corp) because of its parents's financial problems arising from the downtrend in shipping business since 2008 (I m in shipping business, so I know those bankers' cruelity in asking for loan repayments).
STX OSV was sold at 79c, 1.32, and possibly 1.60 (rumoured). But all of these are 'forced selling'. All those selling were done during 'crisis noise' time.
My point : its a good company being forced to sell.
About the takeover : Lets analyse this article last night from Upstream :   Renowned Italian cruiseship builder Fincantieri is making a major push for drilling rig construction contracts after forging a marketing alliance with Norwegian topsides supplier NLI.
Ficantieri is a 'known' shipyard specializing in cruise. They are not the same as 'Italy'. We cannot judge all Italian companies are bad.
From the article above, we can assume Ficantieri is very serious in getting into offshore business.
The question : Is it going to takeover STX OSV? If they do...They have to buy OZ fund shares (abt 21%), my shares (abt 0.000...% ha ha), and other funds, etc.
Nobody knows about whats gonna happen but I just know technically   : It can reach 1.465...and it also can jump above 1.80.....So...calculate your holding power...(definitely not for contra)
We are still in downtrend everywhere. Last night DJIA's move was definitely just a short covering, but technically it has shown a temporary floor for this week. Good Luck...

vested !!!
any downslide me grab.
cheers :)

[Trading Central] STX OSV: short term rebound towards 1.74

but don't know what does the short term mean, 2 weeks? 4 weeks?
Good luck to all!
Time to going back to work =)
Janes thank you for the all cautionary advice, good advice is sometimes hard to digest especially during difficult times  (a good medicine tastes bitter).

I am on a more bearish view on this stock now. However, the sale can be at a higher price and the buyer might privatise at a higher price. Just that the chance is not high....but we never know, so why risk shorting this stock.......
Don't think it will drop to ipo price of 79 cents due to it current fundamental
