Asian Stocks Gain on U.S. Economy as Oil Slips Won Rises (Bloomberg)

Asian stocks rose, lifting the regional benchmark from an almost seven-month low, after goods and housing data bolstered the U.S. economic outlook and as China’s central bank said it will ensure money-market stability. Crude fell the first day this week and copper futures declined.

Knowledge is power and silence is wisdom. Only insecure souls will constantly want approval and confirmation from others by repeatedly reiterating his stance. We have heard enough from this particular lone soul. If some people don't get it, they just don't. Either because they psycho themselves not to, or they are just plain stupid. Having said, let the market itself decide it's own course of action. " Prophecy" from so-called trading or investing wannabes just smacks of idiocy and insecurity.

Bro kelvinLim123, sorry to you for using the word " stupid" . It was a slip of my tongue. I sincerely apologize. But you must know ah, the things you say sometimes and the way you put it can quite get on people's nerves, especially on a bad market day and a tiring day at work. Then you have to put down people who does not agree with your style.

Anyway, by good fundamental stocks, I mean not only those companies which have good and stable earnings, with good cash flow and reasonable debt-to-equity ratio, but also their stocks which are undervalued or at least not over-priced. This minimizes risk and increase your safety of margin. Ultimately, when you invest and with a long time horizon, definitely the price will match it's fundamentals.

I dunno about you la, but I have to work and seriously don't have the time to watch and time the market all day. And no one can predict the market at all one. You wouldn't know when one moment China says what tighten credit and the next it says otherwise. Maybe few days later some whatever news broke out again and the market reacts irrationally once more. The market is volatile in the short-run, but definitely efficient in the long run. I rather just be a passive investor and let my money work hard. But I definitely agree with you on stop-loss, even though sometimes I don't practice especially when I have holding loss cuz I know in few months time, the price will rise back or even higher especially for stocks which have good, stable fundamentals and undervalued. I came across your thread in Eratat once stating that S-chip stocks are not good to buy because investors have no confidence in most China stocks yet. That I also agree to quite a large extent. Therefore, what I said above does not apply to S-chip stocks, at least not yet.

Sorry for the long post once more but I wish everyone happy and fruitful investing or trading days ahead. Same goes for you Bro KelvinLim123. I hope you don't spam me again.. lol

During this volatility times, is better to stay side lines. U sleep better.

Don't anyhow  short if u r not an expert, And don't anyhow long if u can't hold.

As I said before, don't touch overbought and overprices counter. U won't know what's next if u touch.. A bomb...

If u want to play, touch those that had strong support and bottom pick for rebound. And only play if u can afford to write off.. Thanks :)
