Theoretically, this is a free country (although u have to pay for everything, nevermind that), so you can do anything you like, including short.
However, if you short and never cover back in the same day, ie naked short, a fine of 1K, i think, will be imposed. Therefore, if want to short, must cover back same day, otherwise kenna fine.
Alternatively, can use CFD or SBL to short. But then your broker will charge you some fees for this service.
Don't short synear lah, come on. i also stay in the west one leh.

Are we still allow to short now? I thought short selling is not allow anymore?? Please advise me on this issue? Can we just short sell any counter or there's specific counter we can't short?

This stock is very funny, looks like sb sell off them on purpose everyday!but from the finacial report, they hold more than 800 million RMB cash, each share NAV=28 cents, but don't know why this stock price always fall like a stone.when other shares move up, it moves very little, when market down, it goes down far much more than maket!very very funny stock!
