Don't buy anything, keep cash, cash will be king in a deflationary environment.
A good buying time for stock will be in late 2012 or latest spring of 2013.
My personnel analysis.

Please take note..... The WORSE of Singapore economy has not come.... but soon within this 3 years..... So better park some fund outside of Singapore... Buy some GOLD Bar to keep.... lol
That is true, but what to do?
There are full of silly, ignorant and oblivious people who could change things but they didn't...
And they are the ones who brought about the woes of many others who knew better ...
A very sad state of affairs indeed...

In 50 years, Singapore has moved from the 3rd to 1st World. This is largely driven by our obsession for economic development over everything else. To achieve economic results, our policies are formulated towards Profit And Profit by making the masses Pay And Pay for all public and commercial goods and services at ever-rising inflated prices. Besides, to ensure higher and higher productivity, all costs which are required to produce or process such goods and services, must be minimal and fully if not over recovered. The problem with this culture of economic obsession is that we have bred a society that ensures the economic dominance of the few
and the economic enslavement of the many. Modern Capitalism is a mutated form of Ancient Feudalism.

That's supposed to be Cleopatra, the Egyptian Queen (Pharoah's wife)...
I bet the Pharoah himself, or even the late Elizabeth Taylor,
will roll in their graves objecting to having such an ugly one
depicting the beautiful queen... What a distasteful joke!... lol...

It is insignificant if the government and civil servant and top management are not drawing HIGH pay..... But we have overpaid them, so we need the WORLD CLASS standard services..... See the different? lol
Yesterday, mandarin newspaper has a nice picture...
A woman sat on a sedan chair carried by eight bare-bodied men in a performance at a dinner and dance.
A woman sat on a sedan chair carried by eight bare-bodied men in a performance at a dinner and dance.
Yesterday morning, Channel 8, morning TV session   - Good morning.
There is this grassroot leader - " Pou Lampa" type = " 3 legged" (hokkien). Mentioned that SMRT breakdown is very insignificant or small issues and very common as compare to London tube when studying in UK. The London tube breaks down quite common.
My friend try to call in to the host hot-line to question them, they will filter your call topic 1st.
My friend actually want to call in, but later he gives up. The more he hear the grassroot talk, he feels more boiling and angry. NB. (legend : NB = na bei )
Did London tube CEO or top  management  draw more than bloody S$1million per year. And our Gov always mentioned that our SMRT is world class public transport standard. If you read the SMRT annual report. Total there CEO + 4 management draws more than S$1 million each, if I am not wrong.
This is suppose to be a public service to citizen and not a profit organisation. For goodness sake they always want to compare the efficient and productivity and salary with the world MNC level. But after the rise in fare, but service level not increase. Lousy system.
When fine SMRT, only scratch their itch a bit for S$10k fine, they don't even feel the pain. After all who pay the fine, you and me help to pay. Then they increase the fare again..... HA HA HA ... LOL. This is just a game or lip service   in apologize or drama to show public that our Public transport committee did do something.... all for show only. LOL, is world class JOKE standard.
Realistically speaking, at this stage of our history, the local-borns
are already an insignficant factor, if at all. But that aside, the
overwhelming influx of foreigners can itself be expected to
bring with it a whole new set of  unexpected 'headaches'
                            to be tackled...

not a technical person, how to lead a technical team.
probably will get smoked upside down
brace for a fare increase application to PTC one year AFTER when the issue/s has/have been resolved - SOP.

U are correct. Foreigners do come with headache. Everyone-Just human, included local and new citizens.
To be fair. There are equally as many FT as we can get, needless to say more, (more  good then bad.)
Doing a good / bad job by politicians, be it for or against, will be tesed again in 2015/16 GE.
