Is not for free, just for about 3 years (lease hold). That means like plane rentals,no rent for 3 years after that SIA given the option to purchse the aircraft.
I doubt airbus will give any of their aircraft for free.

Same here, wasnt flying first class but business, there was only an empty seat in first and full in business.Heard that their A330 aircraft are free because as part of the compensation of the delay delivery of A380 about 2 years ago. That means SIA just paid for the fuel, insurance and parking space in the airports it flies to and the rest are pure profit. Vested 10 lots @ $14.36 about 11/2 month ago and see profit growing daily.Strongly think their next quarter resulr will be better. |

CEO Mr Chew on 16 June 2010 exercised the options (expiring 2July2010) to acquire 30,000 SIA shares at $14.44 per share. On the same date, Mr Chew sold these shares at $14.90 per share.
Think this sale shows lack of confidence in SIA tfore can exp price weakening?

This is a tough call.
Technically, SIA stock has run and has gone up quite a bit.
MACD is still going up, but Stochastic already in overbrought region.
RSI is also very close to overbrought region.
MA30 is still below MA60, which means there is still room of upside in the long term.
Fundamentally, SIA is getting better.
SIA's Profit falls in 2009. SIA had been making losses in the 1st 2 Quarter, Jun and Sep 2009, but gone into the black in Dec 2009 and Mar 2010.
Their Business will improves as more visitors come to Singapore. With the 2 IRs, I foresee that they Financial Result would be good this year.
Also with the current bull market, I think SIA price will also benefit from this Bull Run.
If you really like SIA and you are in for the mid to long term, I think you can still Buy.
But, you must be ready for short-term correction.
This is just my personal analysis, you invest at your own risk.
Good luck to you.

SIA has been holding well at $14.5+ for the past few weeks, despite the market volatility. Is something a miss? Should I vest for the medium future? .. |

It's not too late to invest now, at $15.04, it's a good entry price as SIA is expected to produce good results this quarter!
