Let's rest for few hours n play again!!!
Cheers!!!
Yesterday I heard a young lady jumped down her 7th floor Bendeemer flat. The market was very volatile yesterday.   Not sure if she bought stocks. But please for those who are posting calls make sure you are making solid calls only. Otherwise don't.   Don't just because you bought and got stuck and anyhow paint pictures that might misled innocent newbies into a no way out trap.   Be a responsible netizen.
Rain is coming....huat arh.
Sista,this type of market sucks....lol

What a smart decision to ask retail newbies to buy at decade high prices. Its Basically no difference from buyers who bought at 97 peak and a decade later had no difference to their networth even if them held on...... if the companies is still around.
Basically the CEO is the one who was just there when OCBC sold FNN cheap when the thais bought it as good as without any competing bids and the market soon rerated it at $9+. God knows how many billions the shareholders lost in opportunity cost instantly and more in the future.
Whereas the previous Mr conner and others held it for decade and never sold FNN. This smart Ceo sold it in a week plus without a transparent public auction or tender and immediately lost out on potential billion more value. Fell for a simple time pressure trick the cunning thais set with a dateline. Now the Thais gobble FNN up with cheap free debt and is on the way to become even richer just like how warren buffet bought coca cola decades ago.
Now the only smart bank worth investing, with a prudent savvy business culture, is UOB.

Some assurance that will calm the jitters a bit, but it's still early to turn bullish, Singapore blue chips are attractive now, but mkts are still looking vulnerable.
Wall Street Journal, today:
China’s central bank addresses cash crunch
An official from the People’s Bank of China says the central bank will guide interest rates, suggesting a potential end to a crunch that has gripped the country’s financial system.
• China injects liquidity to selected lenders
• China PBOC: No payment problems for banks
Good news! OCBC's new venture will benefit retail investors and boost blue chips prices!
Business Times, today:
OCBC Bank launched on Tuesday an investment plan that allows retail investors to buy Straits Times Index (STI) stocks for as little as S$100 a month. With the OCBC Blue Chip Investment Plan, investors can invest in one or more stocks from a selection of 19 mainboard STI stocks and one STI Exchange Traded Fund (ETF). According to the bank's website, investors can buy smaller numbers of shares with their chosen monthly investment amount instead of the standard lot size of 1,000 shares. Investors can use cash or funds from Central Provident Fund (CPF) or Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) accounts.
