LMA's move north today seems to be a  battle between the contra long and contra short sellers.  It could be the contra long players moving north to test whether the sellers today are "real" or "short".  If most of  the sellers today are "real" ,  then LMA is likely to dip the next few days.  Any comments re my observation?

Hi ten4one

If I am not wrong, it  was a "tradechancellor" who wrote that the free float shd be about 70 million shares, though this figure may not remain static everyday.  I believe  the calculation was based on LMA 2006's annual report, page 66 entitled,  "Statistics of shareholders" .  The total number of shares,  under the headline "Analysis of shareholders by size of shareholdings" is 580,946,581. Less the total of 506,859,659 shares with the "top twenty shareholders (as recorded in the Register of shareholders" (as shown on pg 66), the free float shd be abt 70 million shares. Do u think his calculation is right?

For LMA, yesterday's action probably scared off quite a few players...

Because when it traded at 0.38, it actually broke out downward outside the  triangle...
But  that situation is salvaged today  as it rallied strongly to 0.415, thus breaking out upward.

Perhaps it's time to practise "Let your profits run, but don't let it runaway" ... Smiley

Haha....As the saying goes ' You may lead a cow to the water, but you can't make it drinks'

I think hikitty is too seriously 'wounded' to be laughing as yet... maybe LMA hits $1SmileyHer last post confirmed that...still 'fuming' at the Fund Mgr or anyone that sold-out . Oh yes, these people are Manipulators and they're darn good at that....manipulating the sentiments of Investors like hikitty...easily! BTW hikitty, how to you determine and calculate the market FREE FLOATS of LMA? care to share?????? .......Never mind if it is too complex!

jackjames, I suppose it is very difficult to sell at the top or likewise, buy at the rock bottom. Just try to be on top of the game is the way to go....you don't lose, you win!!!! Cheers!

Hahaha... you may say that... :)

But I really hope Hikitty will start to adopt a more technical approach to trading...
rather than religiously trusting the 'good fundamentals' of any stock...  Smiley

Hi stewartgoh

R u still waiting to buy LMA to cover your technical short?  How much lower can LMA dip when the free float should now be less than 70 million shares?  UBS and Pocter bought the LMA shares from those"manipulators" who are "dullards"    (Yes, the "manipulators" behind LMA are a bunch of "dullards" - why can't they be like Starcrus' who ramp up SC even though it has not been  profitable every quarter?)  Can sense they  ("the manipulators") are buying back,  after having been "played out" at their own game of selling down?

Aiyah Mani, hikitty's principle is buy low sell high and she stuck  to this principle 'religiouly' and forgot about sell low (lower than original px) and buy back lower!

Just because UBS & P Orlin bought means that LMA is a good buy .....how about the other Funds that sold-off! ANd why UBS want a director seat in LMA? LMA is so good meh? Directors could get into troubles too if LMA is in 'troubles'. Is UBS a strategic investor or just a Majority Share Holders and a Portfolio Funds Manager?????? Cheers!

Anyone knows when is the released date of the Q3 results ?

21 millions Sing dollars to support LMA price, this convinced me to just hold my 30 lots at 0.38 until 0.45 perhaps? .... let's see what can they do next ? they are pretty smart, collecting at really low price at this moment... this really make those big funds mad , getting at IPO price, isn't it? I wonder as long as the price < 40 cents, will they keep buying ? That's interesting...

UBS AG and Pocter bought in total 57282 million shares (sigh - only when LMA  price dipped!). Could there be a tug-of-war for a board of directors' seat between both of them,  based on the quantity and pace each bought?.   It appears that it would be good  for LMA share price.  Any input from fellow SJ participants?

Downside risk will be limited as the free float is now very much reduced with the open market purchases by UBS AG and Porter.  Previously the free float was  70 million shares. The short term holders (or contra long players) are likely to cause LMA to dip in price again as evidenced by 155 lots being sold at 38cents seemingly by three (may be the same purchaser)  purchasers  today during the "closing minutes"  of  trading.
