Ha ha real kidding!! Spending million of $ to buy in stock n dun know wat is CB?

Hmm, may AK have a guessing game, pardon me.

I guess u hv 30,000 shares of 0.321 per 1000 shares? Equivalent of u hv 30 lots of 0.321 per lot?

Some money making coy will give both dividen with CB, some will only give CB.

For example, if shareholder have every 10 lots(or any no of lot, deems fit) will be given 1 extra lot(or any extra no of lot, deems fit) etc.

Unlike given Right or Warrrant, CB is given free, no need top up cash to opt for them. However, sometime u may not be given d same coy bonus issue, instead u be given d coy subsidery share as Bonus. For examp, SIA in Aug given SATS as Bonus instead of SIA mother share itself.

Good luck n Cheers.

Good thinking.  I sold my Fmae almost same px as you.  I cleared citi when it went to $4.20 and bought again at 3 plus to sell for another round of profit.  But now clear most stocks with exception of two counters which I think have potential big money to be made from them. They are in the biotech and pharm industry.

Eyeing shipping Dryships, will buy around 6 dollars.

Ha ha, AK sold my citi(4.30) n F mae(1.08) before I went for a mth kampong vacation end Oct. I bt Citi at 3.14 n F mae at 0.85. Didn't clear both when Citi at 5.23 n F mae at 2.02, thinking of long. But later sensed d both counters were declining slowly n I can't monitor them easily  on my mth long vacation.

Monitor my HKSE n STI counters at my kampong is not a problem, as both ex are opt in day time. Cheers.

Don't play Citi yet lah.  Paying back TARP reduces their chances of making more money with it.  Tarp money is free, and can be used to lend for 3 percent.  Now how to make 3 percent with such huge sum returned

Below posted on BT ard 2300. Strange, Citi(3.76' -19ct) n BOA( 15.55' -8). XTO up 6.38 now. DOW couples min ago, up 29.6, opened at 27. Ha ha, tempted to buy Citi, but halted, stay sideline first as situation still not clear yet.

NEW YORK - Wall Street rose at the open on Monday on the heels of a global rally as sentiment was boosted by Abu Dhabi's decision to bail out Dubai and Citigroup's move to exit a US government bailout.

A big takeover deal in the energy sector in which ExxonMobil agreed to buy XTO also helped keep the mood positive in New York.

The interesting part of using EW is not after it has happened but when it is nearing what will happen. It is the "forecast", and not the "hindsight" that makes the anticipation exciting and well worth it ! Ding dong, ding dong, who's still in "long" ?  Smiley

Yes, CW is also right on this. EWI did point out about the "All the same market" view on this carry trade. But EWI did not mean that they will all collapse at the same time when USDI reverse direction. That's why in my previous post, I noted that there already signs of decoupling between major world indices when the USDI was starting to make a bottom about 2 weeks ago. A 'B' wave bear rally is a phoney bull - that means investors' sentiments are at their most clouded and full of illusions and optimism. Such a wave does not die easily and immediately even when all odds are against them. But eventually when it dies, those who are still in long positions will be caught totally unaware and it will be a frightening experience not meant for the weak hearted. Smiley

Phil,

You might also be interested in the USD index chart on this site. It is one reason why I share a similar view with boyikao on USD. As to whether there is more significant impact on US equity mkts, there are additional factors to consider (e.g. how strong was the USD carry trade etc, to what degree will USD appreciation make owning USD-denominated securities worthwhile etc).
