Nice perspective to look at this stock :
This is a gambling company, so the stock is also a gambling stock, - make money and off load baby
why would genting want to take a negligible 3% stake in MGM Macau, this is too small, there should be a next step of action, also understand MGM is looking for partner to bid for the Taiwan IR project, there should be more news.....
Genting is supported at 0.675 by 50d MA. Can only rebound if BB comes in on Monday. Same as gambling in a casino.
Calling calling ah moh remisier calling calling gg bb louis_leecs need your advice on this counter please advise thank you very much.

Dump Genting SP 9% share, then...just painting another picture...teeth thot so.
Genting recently paid US$100 million ($145 million) for a 3.2% stake in MGM Mirage amd also bought US$100 million of MGM debt. Genting did not have any immediate comment on The Wall Street Journal report.
The investments sparked market speculation that this could pave the way for Genting to participate in MGM’s Macau hotel venture.
Genting has long expressed its interest in gaining a foothold in the Chinese gambling enclave.
Speculation was also building that MGM Mirage, under pressure from US gambling regulators and saddled with about US$14 billion in debt, may sell its stake in its Macau joint venture-MGM Grand Macau.
MGM was told last month by gambling regulators in New Jersey that Pansy Ho, the daughter of Macau gambling baron Stanley Ho, was not a suitable partner for its venture in Macau, and ordered the US firm to ‘disengage’ itself from any business dealings with the younger Ho.
next week will be worst. Today is short and cover.
Next week is gonna be very very bad for genting.
Said this yesterday, one day too early...
Today's low is 0.66 .as of now... hehehe...

new shareholder is not stupid...they can buy thru' 3rd party funds and when sg govt issue the licence to genting, new shareholder will emerge offically and by that time it's too late and stupid to revoke the licence. |
ROAD SIDE NEWS.

GenSp is now trading a very tight bull/bear tussling range...
Whichever way it breaks decisively on good chunky vol will be the direction to go...
But be careful if it breaks out and then 'gets back in' (in the opposite direction), then bet heavily in the same direction...
This glamour stock is a good play...
You have 1 last but most leathal catergory. This is those who short big time and hopefully the tide don't turn against them. These willl be the one talking don't the counters.

There are four categories of folks in the forum.
1. Those that are very good with the technicals, chartings, analysis, and are willing to share their expert opinion with those interested.
2. Those that do not know how to do the technical analysis but want to invest hence seeking expert opinion.
3. Those that are invested and hope the stock will go higher and higher and to unload at the appropriate time.
4. Those that are ot vested yet and regretted that that have not invested and hope to influence the stock lower.
Hence its up to the readers to interprete what is appropriate and what is not.
Take Genting for example, the Lims unloaded 9% of their stocks to "somebody" and "somebody" picked them up at S$0.72. Would that somebody be that dumb to buy at S$0.72 if he/she were to know that Genting is going to face a lot of obstacles, government will not grant them the casino licence, the future of that counter is bleak at least in the foreseeable future?? I am sure a person of that calibre and with that amount of money ain't that dumb. Why not part his/her money in other blue chip counters instead of Genting?
Why is Genting below par (S$0.72), well in playing stocks, fundamentals are important and so are sentiments Currently sentiments for that counter ain't that good after it hit a high, crashed after the Lims unloaded their 9% stake. That's my simple minded opinion as I am not into the chartings, etc
Now with NOL, Phillips Securities recommend a BUY with a TP of S$2.12. I am sure for a large company like Phillips Securities sufficient due deligence would have been done for them to recommend a BUY at S$1.68 with a TP of S$2.12. They are putting their Company's recmmendation at stake. Now why is NOL at S$1.65...your guess is as good as mine... to me it should be due to sentiments. I am sure Phillips Securities would have done a thorough job before recommending a BUY. You do not see them recommending BUY on many counters.
Just my simple opinion.
new shareholder is not stupid...they can buy thru' 3rd party funds and when sg govt issue the licence to genting, new shareholder will emerge offically and by that time it's too late and stupid to revoke the licence.
