"The Singapore BBs are always playing this kind of game" and "reflect poor image of our stock market environment"?

But that is how BBs operate in different stock markets all over the world. BBs will not tarnish the image of stock market. They are important in creating much liquidity too.

Push up then sell.  Push down then buy. The "Singapore" BBs are always playing this kind of game.  It reflects poor image of our stock market environment.  The stinking though the stinging is quite bad for most investors who are always watching for volatility.  Sometimes can fall for its trap.  Careful, but who cares about them playing this way.  If you are long term on this counter, don't watch it move, just keep the shares and try to forget that you have them.  I think one fine day you can see it givingyou good returns.

Yup, I agree with you, Sir...

I know people who hold shares forever, especially after they have dropped from their highs...

They invest forever... hehehe... Smiley

Partially agreed with u. Emm if we buy the share at record low, than it worthwhile to hold long.

But my long will be around 5 to 6 years only. Remember recession come in cycle, so don't hold too long.Smiley

(Just my view iPunter)

Holding shares for the long term is a foolish (nothing personal) thing to do.

Only last year, the market was going from strength to strength and the weather was then sunny fine...

Then a few months later, many woke up and see their shares' value half-price or only a third!!!

It will take unknown years for them to crawl back to those highs, that is if they ever do!!!

Can I interprete that BBs are:

1) fund managers

2) Institutional players

3) brokerage house bosses and staff

4) someone rich and work in a group

That's why I sometimes view our SGX with great suspicion.

I believe the bills/laws are already inplace.  I think you are referring to the first exclusion order to be issued in July, as reported in the press.

Yes, I think once the first exclusion orders are issued on gambling, the next step would probably be issuing of the gambling licences for the two IRs, because you have to put the horse before the cart and not the other way round.

I thought that the gambling licences would be issued soon as the casino needs to start with soft opening launches and need some lead time to operate smoothly.
