Singtel are both good for traders and value investors. 3Q08 results will be out on 5 Feb. Main reason for its sudden surge this morning may be link to the positive report on Straits Times claiming Telco's defensiveness against the current weak market due to its strong reserve.
Yes ST is a good trading ground, hit and run type, but not a parking ground. You could have notised that ST stock varies with the current volatile markets. A typical example is what ST performed quite well in the morning, at a good price of 4.14, but it didn't sustain till counter closed.
I didn't regret or felt heart pain though I had cleared 10 lots of ST at 4.01 yesterday. I am prepare to pick it up again once it dips again.
I read somewhere that ST is going to announce India's Telco in weeks to come. Not sure the announcement include the entire coporate coy. If I am not mistaken, there was dividend payout in Apr last yr. Can someone verify. Tks and cheers.

This is a heavy weight index-stock and in time of uncertainty, most Fund Managers would park their money for good dividends income. Starhub is the alternative (although not as globalized as SingTel). Cheers!

take a look at Singtel shares indicate a double bottom and it has gone past the resistance line and seems like heading north..any comment from the senior guys over here?? : )
