Any1 wonder why didnt MOM place a stop work order? They always do that when there's a site accident
Not very well verse with TA, but looking at Genting's share price, looks like a cup with a handle forming, i.e. a breakout is approaching.A check with MA 20 days,50 days, MACD, Slow Stochastic Oscillator & Parabolic SAR shows that a buy signal is evident.
If it's share price surge up with high volume than no horse run already, those who short, better be extra careful as Casino stock always surge when it approach it's opening of businness. Some more I heard that Wynn Resort & Sand is going to list in HangSeng this month which will affect the share price of Genting if investor compare apple to apple with Genting an extra USS.
hope will hit 1.2 by end of the year
cheer

researching through the performance of the company over the last few years is also very important to see if the company is profitable. Do consider their EPS and PE too.
Genting SP qtr result currently is like that one. Should not have any impact to its share value. People are looking at its future value. (my opinion)
Cheers.
Not necessary only when you know how to read charts then you can buy stock. Please dont mis-lead others.
Charts is for guideline, not a sure win tailsman.....
Read, hear, feel, sense and keep in touch of situation/news that will affect Singapore mkt..and one thing, dont be greedy....

If you are not familiar with the charts, you should not be buying stocks at all, even if someone
tells you what price to buy.
Playing stocks is speculation, even experts can lose money, this don't ever ask another.
If you are still keen, spend a lifetime learning the ropes yourself.
And hope you won't lose too much money!

You must study the charts...
Otherwise you will not buy even if it falls to 70c...

Resorts World at Sentosa could be profitable: UOB KayHian |
Brokerage UOB KayHian says Genting Singapore's Universal Studios at the Sentosa casino resort could defy sceptics and become a profitable entity. In a research note, the brokerage says visitors to Universal Studios Singapore could top forecasts for 4.4 million visitors in 2010. It says the project’s uniqueness and moderate competition in the region should enable the theme park to pull in the crowds. UOB KayHian adds that a profitable Universal Studios Singapore would have positive implications on Genting Singapore. That’s because investors generally expect the casino operation to subsidise the non-casino operations. Genting Singapore last traded up 83 cents, up 1 and a half cents. |
0206 GMT [Dow Jones] Genting Singapore's (G13.SG) Universal Studios Singapore could defy skeptics and become a profitable entity, UOB Kayhian says, noting Universal Studios Japan operates comparable-size theme park, should remain profitable in 2009. Estimates USS visitor arrivals could positively surprise, top house's forecasts for 4.4 million in 2010, 5.5 million in 2011 due to uniqueness, moderate regional competition. Estimates breakeven at 5.5 million visitor arrivals. "A profitable USS would have positive implications on Genting Singapore as we reckon that investors generally expect the casino operation to subsidize the non-casino operations." Estimates if standalone USS' ROE and equity value comparable with USJ, implied value creation could be around Genting Singapore's estimated equity investment of US$350 million, or about S$0.06/share; adds, higher Genting Singapore valuation would raise target price for Genting Bhd. (3182.KU), currently rated at Buy, target MYR6.15. Doesn't rate Genting Singapore. Genting Singapore +2.5% at S$0.83; Genting Bhd. flat at MYR6.40. (LES)

Incidentally, other penny stocks, ie BS, GAR, Yz etc, moving steadily as well. Cheers
