aiyo...dun sound so harsh la...haha` chill yea...hmmm..maybe its because the dividend is good? not too sure on this counter as not vested...but i do notice from the charts that SPC had a sharp decline in mid-Jan...looking at a broader perspective of the chart...it seems to be going sideways now...currently above the 200MA support
Only the biggest fools in the world will buy SPC.
When SPC drop from $7 to $6.30 two weeks ago when STI hit 2700 low,
SGX = $6.30, Now $8.80 (Gain = 40%)
KepLand = $4.85, Now $6.18 (Gain =27%)
CityDev = $9.30, Now $12.30 (Gain =32%)
Yangzijiang = $0.78, Now $1.03 (Gain 32%)
Cosco = $2.85, Now = $3.8 (Gain 33%)
DBS = $16.4, Now $19.78 (Gain 20%)
What about the worst performing stock in Singapore, which is SPC, now at $6.89 (Gain of a whopping 9%)? Do u consider yourself intelligent that you bought SPC? Even if u close your eyes and blindly pick a stock (exclude the telecoms stocks and SPH cos they did not fall at all), u will get a better gain.
Even the market's last 2 laggards (excluding SPC), KepCorp and SembCorp has moved up considerably today, Kepcorp from $9.30 to $10.50 for 13% gain, and Sembcorp from $3.85 to $4.4 for 14%.
God bless the unfortunate investors that are still holding SPC. Maybe when all the stocks have risen 100% from their lows, SPC may just rise 10 to 15%.
OK, got 2 more lots @6.87 since I got some yesterday at a discount.
Volume very thin leh....Where are all the sellers? I am awaiting to top up my position for SPC!! It's time to load up for divvy...hehehe!!!
Yoh, Idesa, I got it on this SPC.
The player had gone with the wind. The 22 cents syndrome has deminished. Last few trading days, you would see trading vol around 500 at 0940hrs, today a misarable 75 only. Today you even can see 1 buyer and 1 seller that kind of scenario.
Pre-trade this morning, someone(or may be player throwing some smoke to camouflage their tricks) Q 10 bits higher as yesterday closing price hoping to see 22 cents higher in the opening market. Ayah! he kena already. I should Q 8.82 near today closing instead of last night so as to arouse the player attention. Or may be the player also surfs this forum loh, he he.
You may consider this counter for 40 cents div, with your choice n deep consideration , ref below:

Anyone knows when is the xd date for SPC?
Idesa, I guess the players will still be around, if you long, then you would likely see 7.02 at 0855-0900hrs on 3 Apr 08. As I said earlier, I will Q 1 lot at 6.82 later on, just to testify what I had perceived those who behind the counter, last few days on SPC.
Basing on its trend on closure..it seems like SPC will be $6.40-$6.5 after Ex-D.
Will this piece of news will stir up the share price of SPC since they are in refinery?
Oil edges higher on mixed supply report
Government's weekly report shows crude stocks rose, but gas and distillate supplies fell.
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Oil prices edged higher Wednesday after a government report showed crude supplies jumped in the latest week, but gasoline and distillate inventories fell.
Light, sweet crude for May delivery rose 12 cents to $101.10 a barrel. Oil prices had been narrowly higher immediately before the report's release Wednesday morning.
In its weekly inventory report, the Energy Information Administration said crude stocks grew by 7.4 million barrels last week. Analysts were looking for an increase of 2.3 million barrels, according to a Dow Jones poll.
According to the report, gasoline supplies fell by 4.5 million barrels while distillates, used to make heating oil and diesel fuel, fell by 1.6 million barrels. Analysts had expected a 2 million barrel drop in gasoline supplies and a 1.7 million decline in distillate stockpiles. 
If you look at the roaring bull market last year (2007), SPC was steadily on a long downtrend at the same time while the bull run was raging on...
Not sure whether that would be repeated...

Mee too. My guess is, someone is behind the scence. When near closing, you will know who are the remaing traders on Q to buy. You Q sell and to buy(double or more than sell qty) at 10bit lower than the last buyer price and near last few secs sell short to all Q buyers. So the sell short and buy in will be done during the SGX 5 minutes consolidation time.
It seems quite logical but not sure it will work. To night I will Q to buy one lot at 6.82 to test tomorrow market. Ha ha.
I have realised that for 2 consecutive days, this counter closed lower at the after mkt adjustment. Wonder what is the reason for that??

Good blessing on 7.50, its also jadi leow. Its not gonna be cheap next Mon. I also regretted didn't buy in to average my previous lots. OK lah lets see next Mon how it perform then we decide what to do then.
