Genting surges on speculation casino will open early

Genting Singapore Plc, which is building one of two casinos in the island nation, surged to a record on speculation its $6.6 billion resort casino in the city-state will open ahead of schedule.
The stock surged up to 9.3% to $1.17. It recently traded 7.5% higher at $1.15, set for its highest close since listing in Sept 1991.
“It’s possible for the resort casino to open by the end of the year,” CLSA Asia Pacific Markets analyst Aaron Fischer said in a telephone interview today.
The project is still scheduled to open in early 2010, according Robin Goh, spokesman at Resorts World, the Genting Singapore unit building the casino.
Fischer wrote in a note dated Sept. 1 that Genting Singapore could be worth as much as $3 based on the city-state’s potential gaming revenue of between US$3.2 billion ($4.6 billion) and US$4.7 billion once the two casinos open next year. That compares with Macau’s US$14 billion gaming revenue.

You can always play in a more advantageous way. For eg. when you play roulette, you place two bets on even and one bet on one section of 12 numbers. You win or are quits most of the time and you finally will win some. |

Even Casino games need education... not just anyhow whack! ... hehehe...

But in a Casino, you can only bet blindly...
Whereas in the stock market, you can rationalise your bets with TA, company quality, etc... more challenging.
But of course in a Casino, you can also apply probabilty all the same...
Such as when you have lost 7 times in a row, you can bet high 'probability' on the next win...
But then, if the 'CaishenYie' is not with you, you can also lose 10 times in a row!.... hehehe...

Actually play casino also can make money. Its the same as TA. Just play statistics. Odds and evens, big, middle and small. Easier to make money.

Sorry, missed your post. B4 Dec 07, holding 329 lts(including R). But cut loss along d way until 0. Acc some back while dipped below 60cts(R issue px), when confirmed 20% U turn, after panic period, avg till 61lts, with avg px 64.8cts. Early ds yr had adopted diversification of funds, other counters ie Med, Commod, waste water, China shipping, US finance n ppty n China Banking.
Nowadays, feels much better liao, as paper loss on local counters had declined lineary, though got good profit at both US n China one. But good blessing to supplement the local. AK outlook on d current market trend is rather optimistic .
Hope the good market prospect could bring back better living to those, esp biz down n biz continuing sluggish, d umemployed and others who r less fortunate. God bless.

| Depending on how the market is going to trade today. Macd has steadied above the signal line thus giving a bullish signal while the candlesticks readings are also bullish. Volume has increased much. May even move up above the $1.00 mark. If you are a TA, you should use confirmation of various signals before making a judgement. Of course the market can move both ways and then any side will say they are correct. If you are FA, then you are going in for increased accumulation. If you are an opportunist trader, you buy when it is hot and sell for a clean profit. Otherwise you sell high and buy back lower. Trading is fun! |

AK had done that last few days, while nothing can be done on d holdings n waiting for frogs jumping anywhere
