Today, STI up 26.05, EU Frk 91, Paris 77 and British 113.6. And at his moment DJ up 11. But owing job cut data in US, and some giant coy end of FY result were not that encouraging, DJ performence over today may not be that fortcoming. But still got room for inprovement. Just patient. SingTel is still a good buy by next Mon, around below 3.80.

Now it's around 374/5 near the day highs. So pls trade with care.
Someone lately asked me what price is good to buy on SingTel, and I ranged 3.58-3.64 in reply, hope most of you got it last few days when it dipped to as low as 3.6. If you able to release it after lunch, then you have kopi or big ang bao already. I download 20 lots yesterday, due to investment stradegy, I still keep 10 lots for coming 5 Feb 08 result announcement.
You may consider to grab some end of today or 4 Feb 08, if price is acceptable, price not higher than 3.72. Your choice. Good luck. Cheers.

Looks like the Singtel price stagnant between 3.64 & 3.68 lately... :-( Hopefully it won't drop further.....
But the controvesal appeal in high court in Indon may affect SingTel 5's Feb announcement as well. Hence, can't be too confidence on the stock. Though the dividend may be 8-14 cents.

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. (Z74.SG) is likely to report on Feb. 5 that its third-quarter net profit fell on year - mainly because of a high comparison base as it had recorded exceptional gains last year.
The average of forecasts by four analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires puts the company''s net profit in the three months to Dec. 31 at S$907.5 million, down 8.7% from S$993.5 million a year earlier.
SingTel booked S$143.9 million last year in exceptional gains, primarily from property sales, as well as a S$84.3 million compensation from the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore for giving up its monopoly status.
Accounting for these gains, underlying profit will show an 18.5% on-year increase, said Macquarie analyst Ramakrishna Maruvada.
He attributed the improvement to a stronger Australian dollar and higher contributions from SingTel''s foreign associates Bharti Airtel Ltd. (532454.BY) of India and Indonesia''s PT Telkomsel.
Bharti, of which SingTel holds 30.5%, Wednesday reported a 41.7% on-year net revenue increase for the third quarter to INR17.22 billion (S$620.5 million).
HSBC analyst Shishir Singh said Bharti and PT Telkomsel''s contributions are buffering short-term margin erosion in Singapore and Australia as the company invests in core infrastructure and courts corporate clients.
While Singh expects Bharti to continue its strong growth, he said PT Telkomsel''s contribution may start declining as competition in the Indonesian market increases.
Macquarie''s Maruvada said the company''s earnings may fluctuate from currency trading next quarter but said its revenue lines should hold steady on stable Singapore operations.
The analysts in the Dow Jones Newswires poll have forecast, on average, a 10% increase in total revenue to S$3.72 billion.

It lately low as 3.58 on 21 Jan 08. And 3.64 on 28 Jan 08. Between these two prices may consider not a bad price, but yet to see the market trend as well. Cheers.

SingTel closed at 3.68. AK avg for it was the same. Buay heng leow, can't run. Aiyah, hv to wait for tomorrow already. OK lah, no kopi money, but still go for a bottle of beer to relax now. Meet again tomorrow. Cheers.
