Hi Idesa, did you notice SPC surged 23 cents around 0940. I didn't monitor it closely as I was still playing testing game with SGX. Now it stay around 10 bits. I guess the so-called 2 Cent's player may be back again.

If near closing and you see there is strong blocking say 6.97/98at Sell( pattern is around 200lots) then you would likely see the pattern you had posted few days ago.

As for today... ( I think ).........

As long as it can maintain...abv. 6.98...

It can still hovering the present price or surge even higher.....

But..being TGIF....the later looks tough......

Cheers...!!!!

Hmm, not trying to act clever.

But if u really want to trade in and out every day or two, it's not wise to buy SPC, with such a low beta. It's like trying to trade ST Engg or SPH everyday, also totally immobile counters.

Think COSCO, Yangzijiang, SGX, CITYDEV would be better. High chance, they will give up 1/2 their recent 40% gains in a correction. Think that would be time to buy. At least these companies have a chance to go up 5% a day.

Hey..Goon(No hard feelings).
Now that i have offloaded my SPC, I do not mind supporting your theory that it will drop due to market corrections. But i will certainly add this horse to my portfolio when this horse goes down to 6.7-6.8.

Haiz, wat's the point of selling SPC now?

There is nothing in the mkt left to buy. SPC is the very last blue chip to rise. But, if don't sell, mkt going to come down sharply due to overdue correction. Bad situation.

And STI is now at extremely overbought now. High chance of sharp corrections. Many counters have gone up 40% to 50% within a very short time space of 2 weeks, like SGX, KepLand, CityDev, COSCO, Yangzijiang.

I bought in SPC partly bcos of its firm/strong fundmental, it's also that lately $$ flow into financial and oil play was minimal but the good time for the fiancial will not last and the $$flow will eventually comes to SPC and oil play counters. I just feel that this burger is awaiting for a huge explosion of price upward soon. Hope today's surge is sustainable and good times ahead. Cheers. Me 5 lots only, waiting for divvy...Cheers!

Idesa, hoe shei leow, how many SPC you hv nursed lately? I guess the target price would be above $8 before Ex date 24/4, provided STI steady lah. Climbing too fast leow, may consider not to chase after him already. one third of my normal buy, I think suah lah, enough leow.

But still got more than 2 weeks to go, ample of room for the price improvement. Hmmm, see how it perform further, can be considered. Cheers.

All stocks are begged with market sentiments. Last yr mid Oct SPC was at its helm price of near $9, though Crude Oil then was only around USD 90 and STI was at its height of above 3800. I still can remember that I sold my SPC around 8.865 avg, in Mid Oct last yr, while my buyin price just only 6.64 in avg.

Now, you hv to gauge the current SPC valuation before you could buy and keep for good days leow. Your choice. Cheers.

Higher oil prices only translate to higher pump prices at petrol stations. Maybe slightly higher profit for SPC cos bulk of SPC profit is from refining margin and they do not rise at the same rate as oil price. Anyway, SPC share price has disengaged from reality, Exxon Mobil and CNOOC and PetroChina has been rising for many days already, in fact ExxonMobil near it's peak. Last time oil at $99, SPC at $9, now oil at $103, SPC at $6.9. Weird.

I have a friend who used to work in Middle East and some of the oil wells are drying up. They used water to pump out the oil and only 60% of it was oil and the rest was water. Oil is definitely gradually running out and the Middle East countries definitely know it.

So get ready for even higher oil prices.

Yeah, thk everyone for their feedback.

I do think SPC is prob like putting a fixed deposit in the bank. The price never change, just collect a few percent interest every year. But not capital guaranteed like fixed dep. More like NZ fixed dep which gives out 8% interest but fluctuate within a 5% to 10% margin from year start to year end.

Sorry one more point, spec for Idesa, the so-called 2 cents up issue gone already. Near closing, didn't see any Sell block as well.
