You are so right, a good report does not mean a price jump while a bad report guarantee a thrashing.
Just need to be careful and nibble. Invest within our means over longer term still the key to success in the current volatile market.
Those who call for a buy at 22 cents now disappeared...lol! Always expect the unexpected in stock mkt! Good earning report card does not guarantee a run-up of share price. But a bad result, mmm... it's shown in today's CAE price movement.
OUCH ! that is big drop of share price today
Today reporting her 1Q08 results. EPS dropped 45.5% to 3.05cts/share mainly due to increased in number of share from 397m to 681.6m.
Gross profit affected by downward pressure on prices due to competition and to retain one of their major customer.
Is it affect by the earthquake?

Have been monitoring this counter since last few months. I has reached the bottom line at $0.14 and moved to $0.22 nowadays. Based on the financial report, this company is doing well and strong fundamental background basis( moreover dividends will be given accordingly ). The supporting price level is $0.22 and once it reached the price at $0.22 and it will rebound back with strong buying interest at $0.22. In fact, this counter is laggard in the market........Meanwhile, take a look at this ChinaNtown

CEO Rudolph Schlais ( an Ex-GM executive ) is now focusing on a very strong growth automotive business strategy. Being very well connected and respected in the industry, he should be able to bring the company yet into another level. See last SGX announcement on the 4th May 08.

Recent AGM confirmed the CAE will be paying dividend of CNY 0.0314 per share ( 0.615 cent ). This is about 2.68 % based on $0.23 current price which is very good for a chinese company. Resolution for Company shares buyback scheme was also passed duly.
This is one good dividend paying and high growth potential company with low PE.

Heard that this company will give dividends after meeting. This share price is very cheap and attractive to trade in. I believe this share has potential to rise up to $0.30 within this month .
The strong fundamentals of ChinaAELEC will drive its share price up!!
