The play on LMA seems to be over for now.   The contra long players would be "squeezed" to sell their shares,  leading to a dip  over  the next few days?   Possible?

Sorry ten4one I don't need and  can't afford   the BEST running shoes. Don't forget I have the best "paws" (mew, mew) and can scurry up the tallest tree very fast at the slightest hint of danger.  No point trying to run away in the best running shoes coz'  a "tsunami" would occur if Venner were to sell , and all the investors would be drowned.  Haha, I will be perched on the highest branch to watch, very sadly,  over the "floating bodies"  (Joke, lah)

Dun worry hikitty, Venner Capital SA who hold 32.1% of LMA's shares would not sell that 'easily'. If Venner does sell, you better put on your best running shoes 'cos Venner is a strategic shareholder (business partners) - LMA depends on them for supply on their current products.

I beg to differ regarding the 'new' substantial shareholders and the 'old' ones. The former is smarter whereas the latter got 'conned' Smiley Cheers!

nearly forgot this "gem in the making"...

LMA is in the stage of filling "the gap" between 0.43 to 0.55. Maybe its good to park some money there and strike another TOTO?

UBS AG and Porter both increased their stake by 0.82%.  UBS AG's  total (as @ 31.10.07)  - 78,850,800 shares;  Pocter - 78,398,000.  Both are new substantial shareholders (their names were not in  LMA 2006's report).  Both are "cheapskate" buyers unlike earlier ones, who must be "fuming mad" by now as they bought at the IPO price. Fortunately, only two substantial  holders, Arisag and Lloyd George Investment, both  sold about 18 million shares. Dare not imagine how much more LMA share price could have dipped had Venner Capital S.A. with 186,397,885 shares sold,!!

"Beware the Ides of March" , a line in the play, "Julius Caesar".  Does it mean that after the profit warning,  LMA has improved  so march to attract buyers?  A common trick - it will dip when investors at large don't follow the buying trend!  The contra players will just sell down and rush for the exit!

hikitty is making sense now 'Fundamentally nothing has changed after the profit warning' ! One thing one must also try to understand that 'Shortists' could also arrange with their Stockists to cover-up the shorts at a certain pre-fixed px. For all you know, the deals are already done!

One thing I must admire hikitty for being so very imaginative! Cheers!

The short sellers should keep away from short selling LMA shares for the next few days. When payment is due, can you imagine what would happen to the price of LMA shares then?????  The contra long players will have to ???????

Aiyah, forgot to mention the uptrend is due to  the same old dirty trick of "contra player syndicates"  who are "rotational players" . They pick any stock that has been bashed down too much. They sell in bigger quantities, but gang up to buy in smaller quantities, i.e. they sell along the way as they buy.   Nothing about LMA has changed since the "profit warning" announcement.

Aiya Mani, hikitty maybe smiling, but not to the bank as yet.........  She is not as flexible as you and change according to the Market's environments! Cheers!

PS. As the trading px moves up you'll see the Sell-Q moves up too until a fair value (very subjective)  is consented quite 'naturally' among Traders!

UBS AG and Procter are laughing all the way to the bank!!! They bought in total more than 57 million shares.  LMA may dip again - don't be too happy - the few contra players are at work, but the volume is NOT big. It may weaken again the next few days if no new contra players join the "fun"!

LMA announced on 29 Oct Procter's change of interest on 25 Oct through its purchase of another 800 lots. Hope yesterday's total transaction of 6567 lots was bought  by another big purchaser, NOT contra players "churning"  the shares in the hope of a continued rally over the next few days, or else....?.  The market is very deceptive  as it does not always mean that most of the buyers are "long-term"  investors.

Great for all who vested last week. More buyer than seller now. Hold and wait for the Q3 result.

hikitty, IMO, your number is wrong because not all the majority shareholders are strategic shareholders (viz. Directors, business partners, Subs and Related Coys). According to DBSV's last reports, the % of free floats is 48.3% (ie about 281mn shares). Retail Investors should be concern if the free floats is too low (easy target by a single Player and not easy to liquidate) or too high (values drop)!

If the Market doesn't have any battles, then LMA and the likes will be traded in a straight line since day one of its IPO! Investing in the Stock Market needs not be so difficult and your sentiments won't be manipulated anymore. Cheers!

Looks like the reversal is set... and it may close @0.415 today.

Tomorrow, it should resume it's rise...

but I must caution... no one should follow my trades.
This is because I will quickly dump my shares on the first sign of trouble, without telling anyone...

Hikitty... :)

I wouldn't crack my head over all those 'unnecessary' things...

If the stock rewards you, just take it in...

And if it falls below a technical threshold, just quickly dump it...

I wouldn't bother with any reports sent to me... (they go straight to the wastepaper bin). Smiley
