from what i observe, normally GT has more sellers than buyers but from the past 3 days, buyers outnuber sellers on Q. Hope this is a sign that weak holders bailed out!

ok on a serious note, GT will at most drop to 24.5c. if you want to short, you can try 25,5c for 20lots or more and then buy back at 24.5c. Shorting is always risky. my experience is 3/10 times you will make money. Hope u think it over carefully.

unless one is prepared to hold long term, my advice is to go for trading buy/sell as 1st quarter outlook doesn't look good.

Outlook

Amidst the ongoing semiconductor inventory correction, the Group expects market
demand for consumer and communication sectors to remain weak in the current
quarter as customers are still adjusting their inventory situation.

Therefore, in terms of guidance for the first quarter of 2007, the Group expects to post
a decline in revenue by approximately 18% to 22% over the fourth quarter of 2006,
mainly due to the weak market demand and the shorter work days as a result of the
Chinese New Year holidays with a majority of the Group?s clients closed for a period
of 9 to 13 days during this festive season in Taiwan.

However, the Group expects the excess inventory to be digested in 1Q2007 and the
semiconductor industry to begin its recovery in 2Q2007. In addition, the Group?s move
to broaden its scope of services from the consumer and communication segments to
include the PC segment will enable it to leverage on the strengthening market
demand from these segments.

Mr Yang concluded: ?We expect chip testing demand for PC-related chips such as
graphic chips to recover by the early part of 2Q2007. Hence, we will invest more
resources into the PC sector. We intend to first enter the Graphic Chips segment.
Since more PC related chips adopt Design for Testability (DFT) technology, our foray
into the Graphic Chips segment will enable us to apply our existing tester
configuration for the testing of graphic chips. In addition, orders for testing of new

consumer and communication chips are also expected to pick up in the later part of
1Q2007, with the production volume ramping up in the second quarter of 2007.

Looking ahead, we are optimistic about our prospects as the market demand outlook
for certain consumer and PC sectors should remain strong this year. We expect the
demand for gaming chips and digital TV chips to continue to drive our growth. The
recent launch of Microsoft Vista is expected to drive the demand for PC-related chips,
translating to increasing orders.?
