i am dunnoe abt terraseed but since Singgal recommend it, i suggest u go for it as basic startup than slowly progress to the Book which she recommended. take 1 step at a time. Most impt is to paper trade for at least 2-3 months before u start Live trading. And remember to start small. Dun be greedy. If u can like me grow ur stocks by just 10% a month. in 5 years u will be millionaire.

and yes 10% a month is relatively conservative.

next questions i wanna is that have u tried and learned Sinngal Method of trading? have u got the book she recommend? if not, i suggest go get it and start practising it. The book she recommend is one of the textbook for my trading courses i learned.

Tried it seriously for a few months before u lamenting here that only "certain" ppl can do it. Some ppl are trying to build a positive learning environment here and u try to ruined it. Maybe not intentionally but Stop it. Everyone can trade well if u are discipline and hard working. If u cant trade Live than trade EOD. In fact EOD is better for me and most ppl. Even my friends and mentors also trade EOD.

there is no Magic bullet technique in trading. Either thru discipline or insider trading. The loser are those that trade with no plans but emotion. Gambling. when i enter a counter i make sure that based on TA, my odds of it going my way is more than 50% else u are going to lose.

The precise reason i am not making as much as my friends is becoz i kei kiang add my own rules and TA to the trade plus i follow Forumers based on emotions. if i trade like my friend based on TA and nothing else and follow the rules to the T, i will be getting as much as him. What i want to say is that I failed myself becoz of my lack of discipline and not his talent what ever. now that i trade without even bothering with what the forumers here posted, my winning are almost 90%.

BTw, among my batch of 10 students, almost all are trading profitably playing by the rules. the few that make little are those that wanna kei kiang like me. If u still insist your way i nothing to say.

Hi cashiertan:

The example you gave of your two friends, one with lower IQ than you, who only started trading stocks from Feb this year and already made 35K+ is exactly what I meant that only some people have the talent and most have not. Those who have the talent do not think much of their talent. They may assume that everyone can be like them. In actual life, it is not so. If you listen around, you'll hear more sob stories about trading losses in stocks than profits. Or, are people keeping their winning techniques close to their chests?

currently i have a close friend of mine who started the trading class with me this yr or so. I knew him since my Poly days. And speaking to him, u will know his IQ is not the High High type. But he is a loyal friend and trustworthy Ally. However, i consider my IQ higher than him and he is pretty slow and clumsy.. but quess what, He just started learning trading as a Zilch last year. paper trade for 3 months plus. Real traded with me around Feb.. And his returns is more than me! He started with 6k Capital and his current profit is 35K+. If he sells his K1 with me @49c, he would be up 50k+.. 1st yr trading, slower thinking than me, but loyal and trustworthy. Just do what the teacher said and wowla. earn more than me...

Yes and no. Iam currently only 26 yrs old. less than ur yrs of exp in trading but i hope to share something..

I believe is more of practise and using simple technique and only a few indicators for judgement. From my start to late last yr. i also have serious problem in plotting my TA chart.. Each counter will take me 15-30 mins and i just make 50% correct picks. Now, i take 1-10 mins to filter each counter. sucess ratio is ard 60%. breakeven is 30%, lose 10%. as u stick to the same techniques, u get familiar and u plot faster and have more confidence when trading.

just this yr alone, i recovered the 15k i lost. and make thousands ...

Thus it is not abt talent or gift. it is abt following orders and discipline which ur trading teacher/book demanded from u..

Hi IreneL: Thanks for your message. May God bless you in your missionery work in third world countries. As long as it makes you happy, keep doing it. Money does not buy happiness.

Hi teeth53: I am in the same boat as you. After 30 years dabbling in stocks, I have not made gains. But I am luckier as I'm about break even.

Hi all: I've read singaporegal's article in this forum "confessions of a technical-analysis purist". I have not come across another person either in SJ or in the circle of people I know who are in stock trading, who is as good as she is. She just spent a few minutes going through charts and can quite accurately pick up stocks to buy and sell and win 7 out of 10 times. I've attended a course in TA at terraseeds and even the instructor need some time to study and draw out a pattern to make informed decisions.

With so many SJ forum members who confess that they are not doing well in stock trading, I am incline to believe that either you are born with the gift of understanding TA or not, as by now most of us had either attended TA courses or have read books on TA.

Cheers

There  isn't any simple and easy way to investment.  All investments have risks. Therefore, the best way (may not be the only way) is to understand the risk factors of each and every one of your portfolio. The next step is to manage those risks and see if you're able to survive if things went wrong. There is no use crying over spilled milk or boast about your past glories! Cheers!
