Hi shplayer,

Bullish looking... Acc/Dist and Chakin are uptrending and like what sporeguy says, the price has cut the upper bollinger band... very bullish sign.

Hi ipunter & shplayer,

Although do look at Bollinger Bands, but this the first time that I used B bands to predict its movement. May reach $5.44. Remembered that someone posted here mentioned that using FA, it could reach $5.33.

Sporeguy...

Would you kindly elaborate on your own experience with the Bollingers so far?

Also, when looking at the bands today in a particular stock, how would future prices of the stock affect or change the band shape later?

shplayer...

As you may have noticed, I invest only on the basis of the technicals.

Dividends do not come into my picture at all at any time.

The same applies to the fundamentals, as I treat them more as distractions.

On 16/3: It formed a Harami.

Prices have to exceed the Harami.......,be cautious...

iPunter,

If you were holding this stock, and based on 28cts (net of tax) divvy xd on 27 April, what are the factors that will get you to hold onto for divvy or to 'dump'.

Tks

A flat top appears to be forming.

But today's up-push lacks 'oomph' (low  volume)...

The overall pattern appears promising...
ie. more biased on the bullish side...

especially if a breakout occurs above the flat top.

good... if it continues like this tommorow, it may cut the upper bollinger band which indicates a more sustained uptrend.

On 7/2: As strong buying interest, it formed a strong white candle

On 8/2 Although there was buying pressure when market open but it closed under the center of the previous candle

It formed a Dark Cloud Cover, becomes resistance.( @ $4.8 )

On 5/3: It formed a hammer and the market successfully tested the support area.          ( $ 4.16 )

Rally would be based on it RSI

Hi shplayer,

Signals are unclear for Semb Corp right now. The Chaikin and Acc/Dist seem aimless.

Wait a few days to see what happens. But I'm guessing that it has a very slight uptrend bias.

SYT888,

Yes, I think SCI is pretty fully valued at about this level. Its not to say that there is no more upside potential, but my take is, under the current mkt condition, the upside potential is lower than the downside....eg. the upside may be 10cts but the downside 15 to 20 cts.

Current price is in part supported by its 28cts divvy...xd 25 April.

I will refrain from making an investment for the current divvy cos more often than not, prices will fall more than the divvy after xd.

To find stocks  with historical divvy yield of >6% is quite possible....but to peg 20% capital appreciation will probably be somewhat more tricky. If you refer to the 'Fellowship of Shares' thread, I posted some stocks with good divvy yields earlier in this month. Other members have also made valuable posts on stocks to monitor.....eg. elfinchilde, iPunter...etc. Suggest, henceforth, we take this discussion to that thread.

As to whether it is the right time to enter the mkt, I would advise patience and monitoring and analysis before taking the plunge.
