That's right. That's why I think Hyflux is the 'preferred' bidder.
We don't want to have a situation where certain quarter would threaten to cut our water surprise whenever old baggage gets stirred up. The M'sian can buy Parkway Holdings. No problem with that, since our restructured hospitals can cater to the masses. They can cut good healthcare to the well-heeled and filthy rich, no problem with that too. But cut water? We'll all be dead.

Hyflux is a National Asset to Singapore, just like Singapore Arm Forces, as we are very very short of water resources and its  of great important to national security and survival. Hence to let Hyflux be privatised(ie sell to Chinese coy)  is against the national interest and extremely remote.  No way , thats my opinion

No, I don't subscribe to both. What was said that makes you think there is chance they they might go private? Care to post that statements/ excerpt |

Kuai kuai eran Singapore $$, always think about global market. Like our Tomasick, global where also lost $$. So concentrate in Spore market and earn our Sporean $$. LOL.
Its good to allow this to go privatised so that  we can have more competitions whereby, best quality of product  is enforced especially water resources is one of the biggest concern.
Eg. telco companies.

For a highly strategic resource, not likely. Note that  they  are becoming  more and more entrenched after winning latest PUB project |

Many Huge calsl by many fund houses to buy Hyflux....DO  NOT short this stock...rather to accumulate on weakness. Once Middle east crisis is over which will be very soon, Hyflux will shoot up further.
