Agreed on the point for Dow correction.
The key point is our small little Chee Wa Wa already retreated way before that when Dow is rocketing high
of cause poor market sentiment since the 3 in 1 ABL case
I am as hopeful as JJ unless US Fed reduce interest rate to promote borrowing in private sectors,
still there is a need to prove borrowing increase with positive upside in consumer spending and manufacturing output,
generally a month later, by then Yr 2014 lo.
Jus sharing my view, do trade with case
Donovan Ang predicted a correction of over 1000pts for DOW and I believe that may happen towards the end of 2013and begining of 2014

Tapering may not be immediate, but the unwinding of bond buying could happen soon.
Regardless, the relentless drive up by the Dow needs a healthy correction before the next leg up.
I actually feel that market will recover strongly likely next week all the way to the week before Christmas. After that, I am expecting turbulence all the way into Jan 2014 when US argues over the fiscal budget again plus tapering gets nearer.

Nevertheless data from US don't seems to warrant early tapering, at least not in Dec
