The problem is the blackout period. Im sure the director will move in and buy up the shares at this price. However wing tai has not announced results yet. It has to announce results befre they can resume share buyback. Im estimating the results will come out next monday or earlier. And thereafter, lots of share buybacks :D

hmm...looks like this burger is  undervalue...but will be a dirt as long as there are not potential suitor or admirer like AllGreen...different DOG life i guess :P

KIM ENG:
Engaging our private eye – Following the successful delistings of MCL Land and Soilbuild, Allgreen looks set to be the next property stock to seek the privatisation route. The Kuok Group will be offering $1.60 per share to privatise Allgreen, conditional upon it receiving a 75% acceptance of the offer. The group currently owns about 55.6% of Allgreen, which was trading at a discount of nearly 40% to its book value prior to the offer.

Many other property-related stocks are similarly trading at discounts of 30-40% to their book values, particularly those with substantial exposure to the residential market due to potential policy headwinds. Attractive valuations and low borrowing costs may prompt more companies to consider privatisation. Wing Tai Holdings, currently trading at discounts of 30% to book value and 45% to RNAV, is a plausible candidate. Hospitality plays, eg, GuocoLeisure Ltd, may also be in line for privatisation.
