Looks like Yoma going to the top of the broad channel soon. 1.2 to 1.3 seems to be the order.

Yoma is Still Strong? ....

This morning STI drop more than 60 point this morning and recovered. I believed that many people already went in to the market to buy. Most people will buy the stock that fall the most, because it is cheap. but to us, those stock that is cheap, is because big fund managers are selling it off first. Stock that is still expensive means fund managers are still holding it.

Well, we mention previously, market will take some time to come back. Base on our past experience on correction, we always look for counters that is more resilient during correction.
Alot of time when market recover, they will tend to move higher.

Yoma has been quite resilient as compare to most stocks in the market. currently still bullish uptrend. Can monitor this stock, if market recover(now still not yet) this counter might have potential.

Even though market has rebounded for the past few day, this is still not enough to tell the mid term trend change. However the price movement did tell that there are some buying activities in the market. If you want to buy something, now can consider to invest 10-20%. BUT at the same time do prepare to cut loss.

For yoma, stoploss can place at $0.87        ...Prev Close: $0.95...

Analysts note that there is huge growth space in Myanmar’s telecommunications sector as Myanmar currently has only one mobile carrier, MPT. Mobile usage is also below 10% of the population. According to DBS Vickers, Yoma is a direct proxy to the market and reiterated their “Buy” with a target price of $1.08 which translates to a possible 20% upside from its current price of $0.90.

teeth53 thot - It bollinger bands n MACD short term is not looking nice and offering new shr @0.38cts. Looking currently trading on mother shr at 0.94cts. it don't look so so optimistic on Yoma player's mind as mkt is influence by Ah Ben Benanke QE withdrawal speech.

The right issue price is so much lower than the current market price. I'm afraid it will negatively impact the price to much lower level. While it may benefit the company, the existing shareholders may suffer in the s/t.

YOMA Strategic Holdings is extending the long-stop date to complete the 80 per cent acquisition of a 10-acre site in downtown Yangon to Dec 31, 2013.

The original deadline to complete the acquisition was on or before June 30, 2013, said the group in a filing to the exchange late last night.

Serge Pun & Associates, the vendor of the site, informed Yoma it was finalising discussions with the relevant government authorities about the terms of a new leasehold title for the land's upcoming developments.

Serge Pun & Associates " has assured the company it remains confident that the master lease will be issued" but not by June 30.

Huge investment are needed for whoever get the licenses.in my opinion, it may take three years? Before they can start to make profit.
YOMA most likely needs to raise capital if its consortium is being awarded one of the telco license.

YOMA's boss, Mr Serge Pun is not one of the named cronies of the Junta or old regime. If he is one, he will be in the US SDN list like the Max Myanmar boss Zaw Zaw who is doing a RTO ON AUSSINO which was not approved by SGX.

YOMA's boss has a company known as SPA/FMI which has businesses covering many key sectors in Myanmar.
Recently there is an analyst report on his company ... SPA/FMI.
Go to this link and you will have more insight of him and his businesses in Myanmar.

If drop below 85.5 will scoop somemore.

This is the thrust before breakout. Hence a strong support but can only happen when sti hit 3000.

I think the boss behind YOMA is really a complicated n complex figure in business world of Myanmar. He can sink in the roots into so many sectors in Myanmar shows his connections deep in the cronies elechon.

The U.S. Federal Reserve's $85 bil/mth bond buying has fed a steady stream of cash into emerging markets in recent years. But speculation over the potential tapering of  such program, has intensified in recent months, leading to a spike in risk aversion and heavy outflows from emerging markets in recent times.

Stock mkts in Thai, Philippines and Indonesia have erased considerable gains made this year, while Nikkei has fallen 20% in the past few weeks.
