ahh.. pardon me, i think i got it wrong, every R200 should be $0.35.. no division by 5 ;p

belgeran      ( Date: 25-Sep-2009 09:05) Posted:

every lot of GEN_SP R200 will be theorectically worth market price of (GEN_SP - Rights Price ($0.80)) / 5

so if GEN_SP is worth 1.15, each lot of GEN_SP R200 should theorecitcally be only worth $0.07.

lot: as the counter is trading in 200s, each lot is actually 200 nil-paid rights. please correct me if we don't use lot as the term here.

If you purchase GEN_SP R200, you will still need to pay in full, meaning the $0.80 per share, to subscribe to the shares, before the closing date.

I believe this is how it works, so please correct me if i'm wrong :)

teeth53 tot: sell to make profit from NIL-PAID RIGHTS, if not buy to make up, upto 1,000 share or one (1) lot.

By  the way. If you still have them as of this date for whatever reason, do yourself a favour and pay up.

Don't become a dumb donkey by keeping all your nil-paid rights and then not subscribing for the rights shares,

because the nil-paid rights become worthless after 12 Oct!

There is a clause Nil-paid rights. Pls Note: Nil-paid rights give the owner the choice to accept the rights shares at the issue price of $0.80. You do not have to pay for nil-paid rights, and they are yours to trade (sell) starting from 28 Sept if oneself do not wish to hold such share.

What? No. It works out to be the same. Those who buy those nil pay rights still have to pay $800 to convert each lot into actual shares.

As it is, those who bought the stock and waited for CR to become XR is making a killing.

You can apply any amount of excess rights you wish as long as you are able to commit with payment but they may not fully allot the amount you applied. The excess payment after additional allotment will then be paid into your bank account.

Ha ha, just a recap for R issue, exp for newbies:

Gent SP R issue is 5 for 1, henceforth, d odd lot is 200 shares.

For above matter, commences fr R trading on 28 ds mth to 6 Oct, likely u will see a new counter ie, Gent SP R200 just below Gent SP R

As such, one lot of Gent SP 200 will cost $160.00(0.80 x 200). Whereas a lot of Gent SP R is worth $800(0.80x1000).

Hence, if u now hv, say 3 lots of Gent SP, b4 ER 18 Sep, then u r entitled 600 Gent SP R. CDP will send u d notive fr 28 onwards.  So bet 28 Sep to 21.30 12 Oct 09, u may buy up 2 lots of Gent SP R200($320.00) to round up your entitled 600 shares. Ds new one lot will be added into your ext 3 lots to make CDP holding as 4 lots.

If u choosen to opt out d offer, then u hv to sell your entitled R of 600 shares bet 28 Sep to 6 Oct 09.

Finally, then u may decide to sell your 4 lots after d R trading XD on 13 Oct 09. 2Ys apply loh.

Excess R appl. If u r given 5 R issue, u may apply another 5 excess lots of R, if u think that d counter got potential to cheong or strengthen. Otherwise, tikam 2 or 3 excess lots for cheap thrill loh.

Above r AK view only, may not be right. Other sifus may chip in their views as well.

AK leaving desk liao, as tonite got colleague retirement dinner. Needs to go back camp to take a leave, as drink dun drive, d matter. Cheers.
