S$1.05 is Very CLOSE to S$0.80.
In 2007, the Share Price was below the RIGHT PRICE of S$0.60.
NOT WORTH to PUT another S$0.80 at RISK.
SMARTER to Put the S$0.255 CASH in the pocket.
After 12 October 2009, the Market Price may CLOSE in to S$0.80.
NO VISIBILITY of UPSIDE at this moment.
The ONLY VIEW is downSIDE.

The very best time is base on rumour of getting one when huge volume surge for a day or two, or even for a few days when suddenly trading prices surge (chk graph) by say 15% - 20% before anything happen, like been suspend. Opening day will be there for alot of BBs to show their support (buy & contra off only), however BBs will take their profit sometime B4 that

Yup... no one can say that will not happen...
There was already suggestions pointing to a 'double dip recover' only recently, but it seems no one bothered much as positivity reigns...
A 'V' recovery is a freakish recovery... caused by the massive US bailout packages...
A normal sound cyclic recovery is usually a healthy 'W' recovery...
Thus the danger now is that the recent rally V-rally may more likely be a big correction in the scheme of things.
Theres's no certainty in the world of the stock market...

Agreed,mkt is cooling down and with the right issue,won't be seeing any uptrend at the moment,might even drop furthur.Well,this is part & parcel.Hopefully it don't turn out " The RIGHTS will be worthless TOMORROW and The SHARES will CRASH ",then maybe I will sell everything and buy MerMaid .....

Those holding nil-paid rights have to pay up ($0.80 per share) by this date for subscriber for the allotted rights shares. If you do not wish to subscribe, make sure you sell away your nil-paid rights between 28 Sep and 6 Oct. If you still have them as of this date for whatever reason, do yourself a favour and pay up. Don't become a dumb donkey by keeping all your nil-paid rights and then not subscribing for the rights shares, because the nil-paid rights become worthless after 12 Oct!
28 Sep to 6 Oct Genting_R200 counter will also be set up for trading. For shareholders who do not wish to pay more money ($0.80 per share) to convert his/her nil-paid rights to rights shares, this time either you sell away your nil-paid rights or buy every R200 to topup to 1,000share(1 lot)

pharoah88 likes to think that this counter is going to crash. what's the deal? If you have not heard, the casino going to be ready next year and Genting's here to stay. So, what's there to crash? Dips on profit-taking's after a right's issue is a norm. But wat's down will come up. So what's there to cry wolf about?

SELL Genting SP RIGHTS and collect the CASH as PROFIT TODAY.
Genting SP can CRASH TOMORROW.
Remember the PREVIOUS TIME, the Genting Int'l PRICE was lower than the RIGHTS' PRICE.
Those who SOLD their RIGHTS pocketed CASH as PROFIT.
Now that the V becomes VV, DUMP the RIGHTS and KEEP the CASH.
