the counter to trade odd lots is Genting SP 200 right?

I see the price now is somewhat similiar to the mother share (i.e. 1.12)

meaning that i can buy 800 shares at 1.12 (=0.896) to make up my odd lot of 200 shares?

Just wanna confirm if i get it right before i so anything stupid....thanks

 

Those not happy with the 200 odd shares can either buy another 800 or sell the 200 away. There is a one month period between 21/10/09-21/11/09 to trade these odd lots. I have sold my 200. The stock code is JE5 (UOB Kayhian).

 

POEMS user can buy/sell <1000 shares online under "Unit Shares".

 

Comrade, congrate. Coy efficient, they give R before close. Even u pay d unpaid R ds afternoon, u will rcv d same quota, as they hv counted in liao. If u chosen to withdraw, then d underwrtiter will chiat liao, they untong mah.

They gave 10% of your issued R for excess R. Henceforth, u got 200 share out of your 2000 issued holding. AK same got 1 lot only.

After XR, no more R200  liao. But in any time u can sell n buy odd lots, any stock, via broker, but not on line, unless otherwise it is listed, ie Singtel,10; 100; SIA 200 etc.

those who really do not like to hold rights shares could sell nil-pay rights early already, so 1.9B new shares no impact on market price, just hold it

 

also, genting is a syndicate play counter, not so much about fundamental, it has already more than sufficient shares floating in the market, it doesn't really matter with this additional shares

 

why cannot sell? there is one which allow you to trade 200 shares, that happens to most of the other rights issues when there is odd lot allocated. anyway, i applied for 50lots but given 3 lots only.

Yah... so irritating. I applied for 2000 shares and they gave me 200 too. My original entitlement was not odd lot  I rather they don't give me.

I heard that we can buy/ sell odd lots within 1 month???

Besides, the dilution effect should have taken place during "cum rights". 

 

No.. I have not received my rights converted to shares yet... Hmmm...

 

Hopefully the price can hold, but I do not like the way it has been rising before this rights issue.Genting Bhd had issue bond just to subscribe to this rights issue.Something is not right, Genting Bhd has tons of cash, where they own pwr station, plantation, Oil rig & hotel chain, why does they need to raise cash of less than 1 billion?

Remember that Genting is also aiming a slice of MGM macau?

Smart businessman do not use their own cash to purchase business, they borrow & if possible use shareholders money.So far, did GS used their own money for Sentosa?
