Unlike buffet, I know next to nuts about stock value and valuation...

I play stocks very strictly, and strictly based on the charts' suggestions... hehehe... Smiley

DJ MARKET TALK: CIMB Raises Genting Singapore Target To S$1.27

  • 02 November 2009

0353 GMT [Dow Jones] STOCK CALL: CIMB raises Genting Singapore (G13.SG) target price to S$1.27 from S$1.05 after rolling over valuation to end-2010, pegging higher 18X EBITDA multiple vs 16X previously. Keeps Outperform call. Tips investor interest in Resorts World At Sentosa to remain strong on back of more aggressive marketing efforts, expected award of casino license by Singapore government to company in 4Q09, potentially longer-than-expected monopoly period if Marina Bay Sands casino-resort opens later; "RWS' competitor appears still quite a distance from the finishing line. A potentially longer-than-expected monopoly period will be positive for RWS and could boost its numbers beyond our earlier estimates, especially with growing anticipation for the debut of Singapore's two IRs." Says Genting getting license to run casino operations in Sentosa resort is mere formality as company widely expected to fulfill government requirements. Stock off 1.9% at S$1.06. (FKH)

Just FY info: Sometime we do rec'd grey px for TP on offer (placement of shares) and oso not very sure if it for real or not, thou...grey is up at certain px level for real, can make some money, no fix grey px as it is oso subject to market condition. somemore this one involve billion of dollars, (cannot fail). it joy-ly required all retailers wholesales support to push px up B4 BBs can make another offer (see below - my personal humble opinion). It has required 3 round to bring in more money to support Genting Berhad ( Genting Grp) n Genting SP.

    teeth53 ( Date: 18-Sep-2009 20:19) remember 4th round is also on d card.

It ended lower to $1.05ct. U can now wait for opportunities to sell your mother share of 75lots.  when px movement surge above $1.15ct (different of 0.10ct) and concentrate on retaining ur 15 lots (Right Issue Share) if U choose to and subscribe, if not can oso sell in open mkt.

teeth53; just sharing another thot, no calling to buy/sell or hold.

This is a simulated stock. it make no different...after offering right 3times liao. the 4th maybe also on d card. No surprises. Each times BBs will push up, just to make money.

teeth53 tot: BBs underwriting the rights issue will support the price till Oct 12 and there after, how price is still slipping and those patronized Gent SP, patience will be rewarded. having said that, it is greatly influence by DOW and Genting SP closed $1.08cent, up +0.01ct.

Last Friday DOW closed lower, -250 pts, trade with care on coming Monday & coming week

Just my imagination and guess. U think, is Ur money, U have to decide....Happy for U.

I am thinking of this scenario : instead of 3,800 shares, our friend may end up with 1,400 shares for his bid price.  His or her problem is not solved and has to pay a higher commission per share.

My suggestion : try asking his broker whether it is possible to combine board and odd lots together at the end of the day.

Yes, you have to buy it from GenSP200 and incur one brokerage fee.

    To the gurus here,

Hope you can help me with a quick question.

Say I wanna buy from Genting SP 200 to make up my odd lots and at the same time I wanna buy full lots as well, can i buy them all from the the Genting SP 200 counter?

    e.g. 3800 shares?

    Thanks a lot...

Best advise is talk to your Remiser -sell ur 200 (odd) share & consider buying 3,000 share under code G13

    G13 Genting SP 1.060 1.070 0.000 0.0 91,055,000 5,407,000 1.060 1.070 453,000 1.070 1.040 R

    12 Oct
Those holding nil-paid rights have to pay up ($0.80 per share) by this date for subscriber for the allotted rights shares, level on averaging uoyr cost down.

Just my imagination and guess. U think, is Ur money, U have to decide....Happy for U.

In a bad market, the price is likely to drop to or fall near the rights price itself...

This has happened to other stocks n the past.

Thus, the stock market game is not a sure way to trade and make money...

    It is pure betting...

Maybe educated betting, but betting nevertheless...

Thus if one wins, just count oneself as lucky and quickly promptly thank the "ChaiShen"... hehehe...   Smiley

haha.....with a gain of the rights share at 6 plus cents per lot and selling at $1.12 per lot is equivalent to selling $1.18-$1.19...only stakeholders will know...and the volume is there for selling also after rights issues....anyway, a gain is a gain no matter how much...good luck :)

Yes, those who sold @1.19 are even better off now if they had been holding on...

Because if they had sold with the mentality of  'long-term investment', the profit is really lucrative ...

This is because, since the trading halt was lifted, this counter has been on a downtrend ...

Thus it is proven that shorting can also be an investment in itelf...  Smiley

my foresight is 85% accurate however there still risks. (What if economy went down ? What if natural disasters strike singapore? what if terrorist strike singapore ? ) You have to weight the possibility. Why I say Genting will go up because of its first entry to Singapore Market. The launching and the Chinese New year .... Will Push Genting New High.

If you would ask me this question when Genting is 0.40 I can say go ahead its 99% win as this is what i have told my relative. (Lots of reasons) I know people become millionaire because of certain shares went up few times :)
