i thought u said "how i going to make my dollar" in your post.....look here, my profit is 27% overall in my pocket...all sold.

U said it will NEVER cross 1.0...didn't u???..nw it is 1.8...so u short u lose 8%..plus fee..

I have sold some of sar for profit at various px, .99, 1.12. Now keep a few lots waiting for it to break 1.20 mark.

I don't want to understimate mining companies stocks.  The world need them and they will prosper.

Those who shorted on the way up should now start to buy to cover on the way down, else when the next move comes it will be leaps and bounds!

I just looked into my drawer and got a shock! 1.13!!!

This morning at 10.15am broker sms me to say "take profit at 99.5". Luckily the meeting dragged on and on and on....

Just bought 66...last wk....today q to sell 103...then go airport for 2 hour..come back gone...sold..

Luckily , i sold half only...and u know wat...i buy back more to ride up...ave up...

I think this one cross 1..it is rocket fuel..join now...

At least,even it is not a space shuttle, a North Korean missile also good.

Besides jade,Str Asia is one of my best bet...with a dividend of USD 0.218 per lot ie every 10 lots entitle to USD 218 or S$327 ex date 7 may..even if buy now the yield even higher as our holding is less tha a year ..Str Asia previously issue shares at $1.478  and part cash to acquire to acquire coalmine in E.Kalimantan..an instiution favourite.

 

Like Cosco paying a dividend of  S$77 per share,ex date 28 April..it is better that keeping cash in the bank paying a miserable <1%...worth buying for both counters ...limited downside

Thanks Cheongwee...I will look in the drawer, and Ferrochina as well. Noted also that Straits Asia rises when the market dips on the last few occasions. Hope this trend continues this week.

Good choice...for long...you will make it...but at this point of time this one as far we can see is solid, but always on the look out...dont just keep inside drawer and forget it..thing can change time to time..

dont fall in love till cows come home...fundamental change sell first talk later.

Look at ferrochina..

I actually picked the shares up from 87 to 81cents. This is my second time dabbling in stocks after 10 years. Got burnt playing contra then.  I have only one counter and this is IT after doing due research. I intend to hold on until the cows come home...... As for the guy who kept shouting "short", I agree with you guys that he must have lost a lot since this few weeks unless he shorts and longs many times a day - all at the precise moments. I wished I could learn to do that!
