I doubt Genting will go beyond $1.20 in the near future. Both tech and fundamental does not support that. A word of caution. If Genting does not meet the expected Q12010 profit target, it will drop very drastically.

I believe the share will break the barrier line of S$1.20 before the casino open. The reason is simple, the share is flat around 1.10 for 3 months already, if it can't break the barrier of 1.20 using the great timing during opening time, it will lose the confidence of minor shareholders and it will take harder and longer time for pushing up the share.
In fact, the genting malaysia has remained below RM3 too long so as well as genting berhad still not able to climb up above RM8 till to-date. From previous records, it told us the share rally of genting sp will help to push up all the relevant shares of Genting Group. It is huge profit to the banker and BBs compare to our little profit, so that is no reason for them to let the share price get flat and hurt their big profit margin.
Of course, it is also a traditional and believe for casino business to get ong ong and huat huat during opening time. How embarrass if the share price of one of the biggest casino group in world get lower during their opening.
So I believe the trend of strong upward is highly possible and it is still good to buy. If you want to take the scientific and financial calculations, many target prices set by financial analysts also support it. So let get ready for the rally!
Looking at the list of gaming stocks - the general trend is UP. Some UP UP and UP like fireworks. And of course there are down periods - ugly downs.
Yes the Genting may dip at the start of the opening (for one reason or another). The good news is that on the average, like any other gaming stocks, Genting has the trend to go UP more than the DOWN.
In summary, my 2 cents is if one can stomach the ups and downs, the general trend seems to be favouring the UPs. To those who have vested interest in Genting, Hold to Huat big time? Lets LOL together soon and in the long term.
Largest portion of amongst the 4 - will this mean that to GENTING Investment and Holding Company the performance of Genting Singapore is of high significance to the group and the value of all the stocks?
