a deeply suppressed counter takes some time to move up bcos along the way those kena trap will let go, so if u like to believe that the trend has changed for the better, then u got lots of time to buy in.

Medtronic uses the EuroPCR as an apprpriate occasion to announce reciept of European approval,
Kim Eng has since FEB 2012 that receipt of SFDA approval is forth coming. Would BIG uss EuroPCR as platform to announce receipt of SFDA?.

From the i-trade sales figure, most selling done today are by small retail investors. BB selling had receded yesterday & ceased for today. The recent jaw -dropping plunge has hurt many hearts and many are selling to get out. Also evidenced from the i-trade is there is a gp of smart guys collecting the share repeatedly at 50 or 100 lots per trade over the last 5 days. Get ready for more positive announcement and great FY reporting. FYI, clinical trial is vital for new stent evaluation and a positive result may catapult the company and its price to great height. A negative result may be disastrous too. It is very encouraging to see the mgt conducting these two multicenters worldwide trials and money spent is unavoidable but $$reward$$ far far far outweight the cost. This trial also involve Astra-Zenical( using their new anti-platelet) which is one of the largest drug company in the world. The cost will be shared and if the result prove positive, the combination stent + A-Z antiplatelet regimen will be accepted as stent industry golden standard and it will mean worldwide recognition and money will pour into their coffer ``non-stop``.....Mind you, the trial result may be bad too !! Just need to wait for two years on and to me,it is a worthwhile wait. Fingers crossed and very heavily vested.

I think based on how fast it went down there will be an corresponding movement in the oposite direction later this month and it will hit overshoot the target pricve making new hi's of 1.80. Let's watch and see. P.S. BTW I have big long bet on BIG! |

Biosensors International Group: Announces large-scale clinical trial and study
Biosensors International Group (BIG) made two announcements regarding its products. The first involves the selection of its flagship BioMatrix Flex™ drug-eluting stent (DES) and proprietary Biolimus A9™-drug technology platform for GLOBAL LEADERS, the largest ever randomised and independent clinical trial involving a DES. This is expected to enrol ~16,000 patients. The second includes a first large-scale study for its BioFreedom™ polymer-free drug-coated stent (DCS), which is BIG’s next-generation stent. BioFreedom™ is currently awaiting CE Mark approval. We are positive on these two developments as clinical trial results is one of the most important factors impacting a physician’s decision to adopt a DES for use. Hence any positive outcomes reported would enable BIG to further drive its penetration rates, in our view. In addition, we do not see much justification in BIG’s recent share price slide. While there are concerns over stent price cuts in Japan and China as well as rising competitive pressures, we opine that these concerns are not new to the market and we had previously highlighted them in our report. BIG is slated to release its FY12 results on Tue 29 May 2012. We expect the group to meet our revenue and core PATMI estimates of US$291.4m (+86.1%) and US$102.4m (+94.6%), respectively. Maintain BUY and fair value estimate of S$1.92.

My game plan was to make some money when the price dropped from 1.70 to 1.50 because both OCBC and Kim Eng said buy. Their fair value target price was $1.92. After I bought 10 lots at $1.50, this stinker went up to $1.60 but quickly dropped to $1.45. The fleeting price rise made me averaged down another 10 lots at $1.45 and the stinker just kept sliding down $1.12. I couldn't believe it. How can this stinker with such good balance sheet, fat profit margin and impressive headline growth stink like that?
I am still down $5,100. I don't think a 9% bounce back is a dead cat bounce. It's too strong and the technicals show a powerful breakout heading towards $1.32. Even if it gets that high, I will still be down $3,200. My game plan now is to wait till it climbs back to $1.48 and dump this stinker before the euro crisis drive it back down.
