In the business of living, fundamentals are the be all and end all...

But in the stock market, one will do best to chuck them aside while doing serious trading!... Smiley

Hi synnexo,

Thank you for sharing the info. Yikes! If I had to fly to Auckland to change flights to Fiji, it sounds really really ULU......

Sounds like a nice place though. I will think about it. Must weigh the cost-benefit ratio. Hahahaha Smiley

It's a beautiful place I heard.  Great for honeymooners especially!  Like Synnexo says, go Auckland for a few days.  Anyway you most probably need to stay a night in Auckland to catch the next flight into Fuji. Good to break the journey! Think must be at least a one week trip, or else really not worth it! A friend of mine went there for honeymoon last Dec., spent $25,000 for a 1 week trip! But really, very nice place!

EastonBay,

Exactly. Its already half the world already. Another half will bring u to US.

There are actually quite a number of nice snorkelling places in Asia.

There are a few agencies at The Concourse that offers snorkelling trips.

Those interested can find out more there.

It seems like too long a journey for a nice snorkelling trip. Sipadan is defintely much nearer and more direct. It is touted the best diving spot. However, it is a disputed area between the Philippines and Malaysia. Remember the extremists have aducted some scuba diving tourists there before? A price to pay for paradise.

Hi Singaporegal ,

Hmmm...more likely to be another flight into Fiji (Nadi) from Auckland airport. But then, u might wanna plan in a way that holidaying in NZ together with Fiji. Since u already fly 11 hours into Auckland. Spend some days in Auckland, although nothing much...Smiley Then fly into Fiji for another few says loh...Smiley But if u choose to go to Christchurch then it will be a little more expensive. Of course, u will still need to fly to Auckland then to Fiji.

Don't worry about the sharks. They wont bite your butt...hehe...Smiley

But then u might wanna check out the political situation before u go.

There was a little tension late last year.

Sorry to suggest itinerary for u...I prefer those free & easy & will plan my own itinerary when traveling.

Hi synnexo,

Sounds like paradise to me. I love snorkelling.... err... any sharks?? Smiley

Another question is - is it easy to get there? I heard people say that you need 3 connecting flights to get there.

African Sword Magic Festival Scene

This link shows a scene from YouTube.
I've seen TV documentaries of Thailand's mediums poking big swords through their cheeks, but this African magic is more scary by comparison.

Any comments or explanations?

yes... synnexo. I've been following Vijay's rise.. and fall. Good showing by him yesterday when he partnered stuat appleby to beat Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk...

quoted from pga tour:

"The 5-and-4 decision Singh and Stuart Appleby slapped on Woods and Furyk at Royal Montreal Golf Club was the most lopsided of this seventh Presidents Cup and the worst match-play loss -- singles or team play -- that Woods has suffered in his professional career. "

Singaporegal & EastonBay,

Fiji is indeed a scuba paradise. Its somewhere Northeast of NZ.

Flight time is around couple of hours from Auckland airport.

A place fill with very rich Indian culture, very colourful.

People there are very enthusiastic about rugby. Many great players in All Blacks team are from Fiji.

Yes, Vijay Singh is a Fijian & really play good golf, especially in the President Cup now...Smiley

Not to worry, though...
Let Dajiejie go and have a nice deserved break... she'll be back real soon...
In the meantime, you can make up for her agonising absence by reading her Guru's (Larry Williams) market trading book :-
"Long-Term Secrets to Short-Term Profits"...

Then, it will feel just as though  she is still around with us... Smiley
