no lah...I am just a small fish in this pool of pihranas. I am just trying to use 'street smartness' to play this game with them.

I do online trading and hardly ever communicate with my broker...so, not much 'professional' relationship there. Anyway, he knows better than to try to sell me any stories.

In fact, my previous broker would regularly call me up for drinks to find out the stock I am looking at. So, I give advice for a couple of beers.

Usually allocated to institutions and/or broking houses and they may inturn allocate to 'favoured' customers. 

Big boys game.

Suspect they need to do this to improve thheir balance sheet otherwise they may be disqualified from some major projects.

Also, placement shares is quicker way to raise funds for companies than say 'rights' issues.

But, be careful. I suspect the recent run up of price was 'engineered' so that they can 'place' at this level, i.e. 16.1 cts.

I need to ask a newbie question here.  What is placement share?  Can we ballot for it?  Or is it the company decides on who they want to give, thats why the name, placement.

Please advise.

You are correct and accurate, they just issue placement share. I wonder who took up man ! Good Luck.

Just annunce share placement 123 million shares at 0.161cts.

This will raise gross $19.8mil.....share dilution will be about 16%.

 

I think its a decoy by the professional players to jam down the price after it resume trading so that they can buy in. I.e. to create confusion to the market by impacting the herbs decision.



Just my guess.

 

Hi I came across this tread & thought I could ask a question on basic investing...

Was wondering if the Buy column reflecting 0.400 means that somebody is actually willing to buy at that price?  Then if trading is halted for this counter, how could anyone still buy in?

still no news on lifting trading halt.

UOB has appealed after it lost Dec 06 court hearing. Could it be due to this?

 

Hmm, maybe contracts from the middle east. As you know that our Singapore leaders are recently very actively in the middle east.

 

My guess is placement of new shares or awarded some contracts.
