cks... why are u checking in to SJ even during holiday????? anyway, is nice to hear from u again... how's the Old Town of Lijiang - UNESCO World Heritage Centre ? Shangrilia too?

Lijiang: "The Old Town of Lijiang, which is perfectly adapted to the uneven topography of this key commercial and strategic site, has retained a historic townscape of high quality and authenticity. Its architecture is noteworthy for the blending of elements from several cultures that have come together over many centuries. Lijiang also possesses an ancient water-supply system of great complexity and ingenuity that still functions effectively today. "

Hi $come$go,

Thanks for the link!  The difference in price is marginal so the decision will be based on how good and how effective the materials are.  I trust you have tried them both so which do you recommend to a newbie?

The correct link is here:- "Stock Market Genie"

This package, although more expensive than the other one I recommended, consists of 9 modules.
If I have the time, maybe later I can type out the contents page for you here.

Hi Manikamaniko,  I heard about this Australian couple but I'm not able to access the web.  May I have the website again?  Given that you have recommended the 2 items, which in your opinion is better?

Thanks!!!

And since you are obviously a serious player in the market, I would like to recommend to you two coaching packages which I myself have bought and found to be very good material to internalise as your own foundation.

The first is by an Australian couple who are lifetime traders:-
"Stock Market Genie"

The second item is:-
"Master Trader"

Considering how much money we could have lost without such guidance, these two packages are worth every dollar. And I personally don't like to attend seminars and group courses which lasts only a few days. These guidance stays with you for good...Smiley

You are already spewing all that technical jargon like a pro...

And I thought you are only a 'fundamentals' guy...

Way to go, man!... Smiley

Oh yes, may I add that different indicators are for different purpose......eg, I may use MA (30, 60, 90 days) to ascertain support.....but not upside or breakouts or trend change. For breakouts, indicators I may use are Bollies, Stochastics or MACD.....etc.

Shplayer... :)

You hit the nail right on the head! Way to go!... Smiley

Each stock has a different 'character' ...

and only by hard work (like you did) can we determine the such insights as suitable indicators...

Sorry for barging into this exchange.

My experience is different indicators are more suitable to different stocks. There is no universal indicator for all stocks. What I do is I test the indicators to the historical price charts of the stock and try to determine the suitability of the indicator/s (A/C, Chaikin, Stochastic, MACD, RSI, MFI and even Fabo etc) to the stock and use those that fits.

When A/C and Chaikin are suitable, I find Chaikin is usually more leading than A/C.

But I must declare, I consider myself a novice in TA.....just my opinion.

singaporegal :

Thank you very much for ur explanation.

Sorry for this "hair splitting" follow-up question , (its all in the name of learning TA : ) ..

I noticed that eod 17oct, the acc/dist was pointing up .. so yesterday evening, should I have concluded that the next day ,ie today 18oct, would also move up ?

is acc/dist the only indicator that would matter , or any other to indicator to reinforce the uptrend?

is the above conclusion valid for very short term, like " next day " scenario ?

i think yesterday's and today's performance of cosco is a classic example of " anything can happen the next moment " : )

would love to hear elfinchilde's version on this too : )

Hi singaporegal, know that you are expert in acc/dist indicator, can you explain to me yangzijiang chart? i cant figure out the relationship of the trend with the acc/dist based on today and yesterday performances. Although it seemed to have rebounded but acc/dist looks like going down.  Thanks in advance

Hi baseerahmed,

I have found that the Acc/Dist chart can be a leading indicator.

BTW, where's chinkiasu? Travelling again?
