Yesterday has a decent volume to push it up. MACD (26d, 12d) is about to cross the centerline and getting wider with the signal (9d). A/D still not clear but Chaikin just turned north yesterday. RSI (14d) is still under 70%. My guess is that the uptrend is legitimate. But I am a coward because of the unforeseen circumstances.
Break 1.2 resistance. Would this confirm the uptrend and reaches DBS' target price? Accumulation/Distribution is falling since break the 1.18 resistance and Chalkin is flat. But MACD is moving up and histogram is forming positive divergence. So what to do? Well, I am gonna wait a little longer.
Gees, DBS has a buy on this with target price of 1.46. Would this trigger the uptrend? Still waiting for another downtrend.
Break the month long support of 1.13 today. Can the seller beat the buyer today?
MACD is falling. Uptrend failed?
Wow, break 1.18 barrier. What does this mean? The beginning of uptrend? Still waiting for that big drop on this one.
Looking at bigger picture Asia economy is growing baring unforeseen circumstances. When Asian purchasing power is growing multiplier effect set in. Example: if you set up insurance company in Malaysia in 1980 hardly has good earning. Now when people richer extra money to buy more items so business growing, standard of living higher etc The management is right to carry out more acquisitions in Asia. The vital point is to purchase property that has good or great potential and at reasonable price.
This counter's TA charts look slightly bearish. Its Acc/Dist and Chaikin charts are downtrending slightly.
It's forming a descending triangle. I hope it will fall big time for me to get in. But its been expanding aggressively. It just announced it going to buy more yesterday. Good sign or bad sign?

TA charts not too bullish...
Is this a good entry point, or it will go further?
2 analysts - DBS Vickers, and GK Goh both have a target price of 1.32 or so for Mapletree, which would mean that the price is quite fairly value, in the short term.
However, analyst tends to be quite short term in nature, focussing on the immediate results, and their target price tend to shift with more data coming in.
If u look at mapletree's q106 div of 1.11 vs q406 div of 1.45, they have managed to grow their div by 30 %, based on an acquisition of approx 1 billion worth of assets.
For this year, they will probably acquire another 1 billion, as well as some increase in rentals from existing tenancies (not much). If we do a simple extrapolation that they will increase div by another 30 %, this would translate to about 1.88 cents per quarter by year end, and implies a forward yield of 6 % based on the closing price of 1.25.
I think, when that happens, the price target of the analyst will probably be revised further upwards.
No chance to buy as well. Probably made available only for the sophicated investors.
However I managed to buy @ 1.22 during the sudden drop before lunch and sell contra at 1.25. I was happy the 350,000 lot ate up my 1.22 as I didnt think I would have a chance to sell if that didnt come. :)
Can go East Ocean at Shaw this weekend and eat something nice. :)
Yeah, it's unbelievable! And I don't believe 25,000,000 (25mil) units can be taken up within 3 mins, just from ATM machines alone. Not very transparent I think. Besides there is a 200k units limit per transaction and I didn't see long q at the ATM. I know the man who was at the machine punching in PIN no at 1002am was already unsuccessful.
It takes 125 person, each asking for 200k units ($$226k) to fill up the 25mil avail. I am pretty sure most of these people queuing up at ATM didn't ask for 200k. If there are this rich, they won't q at the ATM. Puzzling!
is it too expensive now?

One hour into trading and not a single lot transacted. Does that mean everyone is queuing at the ATM to get the discounted lot at 1.13? (that's why not so many active member on now? ha ha). Me going too... wait for me...
