How many lots do consider as significant? I got 40 lots, and am looking to get another 20. Would 60 lots be significant for this stock? I personally think this is the minimum.

 

I got only insignificant number of lots.  My friends have much more than me.  We intend to collect more if it goes down below 16 cts as we see potential in this stock to go up.  Our entry depends on market sentiment   Please do your own research and decide your own entry level.

The allocation of excess rights and entitlements are already out since last wednesday and had started to trade on 27 August 09. Still well-supported at 0.16~0.165 region.

There may be good news coming out and it was announced that the company had guaranteed issurance of dividend for this year. In addition to the news, there will be another round of dividend in the 3Q09 dating from 010709-310909.

"The distribution periods for which distributions are intended to be declared by the Manager are also correspondingly changed to take into account the change in FCOT’s financial year. Previously, such distribution periods had been the six-month periods ending on 30 June and 31 December in each year. With effect from today, the current distribution period shall be the three-month period commencing from 1 July 2009 and ending on 30 September 2009. Thereafter, the distribution periods shall be the six-month periods ending on 31 March and 30 September in each year." Adopted from annoucement for FCOT, SGX.

I guess this is a piece of good news but I will be keen to see the DPU for 010709~300909, especially after the share dilution due to rights.

The rights issue has been oversubscribed by 36%.  Majority of those who bought the rights bought them at between 5.5 and 7cts which add to the 9.5ct to convert to mother share gives between 15 and 16.5 cts per share.  These investors expect the price to go higher or they would not have bought the rights.  That is the trend with all other reits which have given out rights issues this year.  So it was not unexpected that there was very strong support at 16.5-17cts last Friday.  The majority holder, F & N has only 22.6% share.  They need to buy another 223 million to reach 30%.  Of course there is another major shareholder, Farallon with more than 6% before the rights.  My friend, who is researching this counter hasn't told me what its holding is now.
