ECOWISE, FIRST SINGAPORE REGISTERED COMPANY TO SIGN CARBON CREDIT SALE......

Singapore 5 November 2007 - Sesdaq-listed ecoWise Holdings Limited

(?ecoWise?), a Singapore-based integrated environmental solutions provider, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Bee Joo Industries Pte Ltd (?Bee Joo Industries?), has become the first Singapore registered company to successfully secure the sale of Certified Emission Reduction Certificates (or CERs, better known as Carbon Credits). Under an Emission Reductions Purchase Agreement (?ERPA?) facilitated by consultants KYOTOenergy Pte Ltd, Bee Joo Industries will sell to Kansai Electric Power Co Inc (?Kansai?), a leading electric power company in Japan, up to 95,000 CERs, equivalent to the reduction of 95,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide which would have been emitted into the atmosphere otherwise. The ERPA with Kansai will be for carbon credits generated from early 2008 until 31 Dec 2012............

ECOWISE is now trading at -/21 cts after ex all (before ex all: if you have one lot of ECOWISE, you are entitled to subscribe for 3 lots at -/01 ct, plus given one lot of warrant).  As it is now, would some-one like to comment of the future prospects of this company, etc.

vinyap71, yes that will be correct, which will add 1 additional cents to the XA price.  However, the warrant will be traded over a longer period and usually has some premium built into the price wrt mother shares.  With that it is not a straightforward adding.  Therefore, I ignored the warrant part. Anyway its just 1 additional cents or most likely less due to the premium.

Ecowise just went XA (ex all, i.e. rights and warrant issue).  At 23 cents that is equivaluent to 23 x 4 = 92 cents before going ex.  The rights issued is 3 rights for every 1 share owned.  Warrant offered is 1 for 1.  Super Good Deal... !  50 cents coming. Load up before its gone.... u gonna bang head on wall if u missed this.

Sorry bro... closed at 94.5... but what the heck.... hahaha.. me still a happy man.... Smiley.  Wait till after ex.... think will run again.  Projected EPS this year will be about 11 cents.  Last year was 4.51 cents.  Next year should be around 20 cents.  Even at $1, next year PE = 5 nia nia... aiyo so cheap.  Assuming next year PE = 10x (which is still darn cheap), Ecowise should be around $2 now !!!!  My take is GRAB GRAB GRAB.  Personally, I think no problem hitting 50 cents after ex-all. Glad to see well informed Ecowise forumer.  You guys/gals have done a lot of Due Diligence on this baby and very updated as well.  I concur with all your postings.  Good luck... I am still accumulating at these level (50+).  The carbon credits application provided the extra umph for this eco friendly company..... the pioneer in Singapore.

Just to add more info on the carbon credit :  The CER can be traded in exchanges around the world.  The very first such exchange is the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX)...... you can read about it in the following links:

http://www.voanews.com/specialenglish/archive/2006-05/2006-05-30-voa2.cfm?CFID=157194525&CFTOKEN=68422202

 http://www.chicagoclimatex.com/

There is an Asian Exchange as well called the Asia Carbon Exchange (ACX).  You can read more about it here :

http://www.asiacarbon.com/news.htm

FYI, Noble Group is one of the very first listed company in Singapore that trades Carbon Credits.

Good luck and all the best.

PS... Now 80 cents target looks abit cheap... haha... Smiley  ... let see what other things they have up their sleeves....kekekeke Smiley

ecoWise applies for carbon credits

New project using waste steam for drying and heating will cut pollution

By JANICE HENG

ECOWISE Holdings hopes to obtain carbon credits for emission reductions of 12,800 tonnes a year, by using waste steam for drying and heating. The Sesdaq-listed environmental solutions firm is one of the first to apply for carbon credits with a Singapore-based project.

At a stakeholder' s meeting yesterday - part of the application process - ecoWise said it hopes to have the project running within the next six to 12 months.

The Kyoto Protocol's Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) allows companies in developing countries to gain carbon credits through pollution-reducing projects.

The credits, or Certified Emissions Reductions (CERs), can then be sold to industrialised countries.

ecoWise's biomass cogeneration plant generates 15,000 kg of steam and one megawatt of electricity an hour. Some of the energy is used to power operations, but much is wasted.

ecoWise's project will use excess steam to dry spent grain waste and provide ISO tank heating services.

These processes usually require diesel dryers and boilers. By using waste steam instead, the emissions that would have resulted from diesel use have been avoided.

The project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 12,800 tonnes a year, estimates ecoWise. If obtained, the CERs will raise the project's internal rate of return to 19 per cent from 12 per cent, assuming a CER price of 10 euros a tonne.

Terence Siew, head of the National Environment Agency's climate change unit, said that ecoWise is the first company here to reach this stage of application, although other companies have shown interest.

'This is still a new area, but we believe that once you have a few successes, more and more companies will be interested in coming into CDM,' said Mr Siew.

And further interest may be raised this November when Singapore hosts Carbon Forum Asia 2007, a trade fair organised by the International Emissions Trading Association and Koelnmesse.
