can some of the TA experts help to point out
when does volume increase mean actual price uptrend or
when volume increase is just noise intending to tempt ppl to sell.
or is there no magic formula, just have to do intra-day monitoring to find out sell / buy pattern?
dont have time for intra-day TA can only do TA at night for next day preperation.

As previously warned by vic and elf, buying into HH is like getting onto a rocky roller-coaster. It's not for the faint-hearted. Hang on to the ride only if you want a thrilling ride filled with ups and downs (maybe big ups and big downs) :)

This counter is solid stable man

After upgraded to mainboard, it when down from 1.09 to 1.04 but that was due to china correction on Wednesday.

Today STI rally up 50points it went from 1.07 down to 1.05 about to hit the close price of 1.04.

Jia YU

What if STI profit taking on Friday tommorrow and will that mean it will hit my target price of 95cts to 99cts sooner.

Cheong arrrhhh !!!!!!

Really look like an "uptrend"

my experience with Hiap Hoe is example of how one sometimes gives more reliance on TA than on the fundamentals.
was monitoring the counter and when Private placement announced and saw the price breaking its resistance of 1.1 stepped in .
should have known that if placement done at around 94 cents, obvious the placement party would want to buy more shares at closer this price for a few weeks before allowing the counter to moveup.

would it be correct to predict that whenever private placement is done, the counter will hang around the private placement price for some time before it decides to move up irrespective of TA or FA?

noticed same thing in Sim Lian (another property counter). Sim Lian placement done at 58 cents, the price shot up to 70 cents then came back to low 60s and was hanging there for 2 - 3 weeks. now is when it is going slowly unnoticed above its resistance price of 73 cents.

Vic, actually my breakout entry would only happen if it breaks and closes above 1.13, and further, the volume seen on 28th May was in my opinion too "noisy".  Such volume normally would not sustain an upward increase in price.

Like the spirit of vested investors in this thread. Most are independent in view and knowing exactly what they are waiting for and not emotionally swayed by the market sentiment or China abrupt brake. However, market can swing either way and having a firm stance at time can at time be a blessing or ........

Nevertheless, still awaiting for the right opportunity to join in.

yep punter, you got it right there. 'cos i've been tracking hh since quite a long time ago, have realised that counter has in fact lost sensitivity to a lot of the indicators: eg, a/d and c/o used to work for it, but not so much now, if at all. am thinking even bollies has lost sensitivity. erk.

i'm going in fact by pure psychology matching with the busd data predominantly now. apart from the earlier fibo use; which i do not see need to change target as yet, since stock has not changed fundamentally.

frustrating, tho. >~<

the trouble with cornered float when BBs not done accumulating yet. erk.

but hm, i don't think they consciously try to skew the data; i think it's the other way ard..ie, humans move first then tech shows the (skewed) patterns.

You can bet your last dollar that the boys are TA experts too...

So since they are the ones who call the shots (ie. market movers), isn't it common sense that they can play 'anti-TA' moves to snook the TA masses?...

Just a possibility to ponder...  :)

thanks for the consolatory post, shplayer. :)

and yea to rayphua and vic: that's the frustrating with the counter. 'cos when you track busd, BBs are not selling. There is no distribution going on; there is, however, deliberate depression.

Take today's busd data: stock was actually holding constant/going a bit up from morning of 1.09. but the strategic sell of 110lots at 1.07 was what caused it to cave in, psychologically speaking.

if you ask me, that's the only BB lot thrown. perhaps one more 100 lot in the afternoon, but that's it.

it's literally shaking out all the small fries by a 'fear breeds fear' tactic.

frustrating tho, for a techie.

well. my only consolation is that my handicapped snail, engkong, actually pivoted up. hmph.

altho, hm....looks like my kaobehing works, eh? mebbe i shd kb more for hh then. hahahhaha!

hmm...I wouldn't advise against averaging down for those considering this.  Fyi, smart money has not flowed out of this counter at this stage, so let's chin up.

Aiyo, Elfin, how did I end up being seen as an intraday trader??  hahaha.  No lah, my trade span usually average at 5 days.  Recent entries had been quick in quick out because the movers are also unwilling to take extended risks during this period.

Thanks elfinchilde. Side note - where can i see exact price/volumes of real-time trade?

liverbuffet, i'm also considering averaging down, but only if the TA indicators are really right. keeping fingers crossed :)

What happen to this undervalued, fundamentally strong counter with fund managers in it that has 400'000 square feet of land to be listed in SGX mainboard start the first day with a full drop from 1.09 to 1.04 like no support level. Others rebound except this counter. Even China counters that drops recover 1/2 way. This HH did not even move. This means i can see 0.995 or 0.93cts very soon.

Wow like that have to really need to consider should i average down or not, maybe just forget it. I think the BB that is selling down this counter is a happy person after all. I don't think there is supply issue in this counter and buy-in needed. Overly supply of sellers in it.

Haha

elfie,

don't despair....

In up market....its selling opportunity.

In down market....its buying opportunity.

Market on Fri will continue to be hesitant...cos many ppl gone off for the long weekend.

This is the 'singaporegal' phenomena again eh? Everytime she's away, the market plunges.
