“Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited purchased the shares from Trikomsel’s existing institutional shareholders from the market,” Trikomsel president director Sugiono Wiyono Sugialam said. 
Prior to the transaction, Trikomsel is 61.13% owned by JP Morgan Luxembourg SA, 25% by JPMIB Canopus Finance Limited, 2.64% by directors and commissioners and 11.23% by the public.

PR Newswire reported that PT Trikomsel Oke Tbk and Brightstar Corp. have entered into a joint venture and formed Brightstar Trikomsel Pte. Ltd. in Singapore. The new entity will be engaged in the provision of value-added services in the wireless device industry in Indonesia and other selected markets in Southeast Asia. In addition to distributing mobile and connected devices, the joint venture will focus on delivering a supply chain services for operators, retailers and mobile device original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the Indonesian market.

I see a strong link for CarrierNet, is well connected to Trikomsel Indonesia businesses and
this maybe one of those many reasons flavouring why SingTel sign two
years agreement.
Note - Trikomsel is a big cap stk listed in Jakarta, back up by JP Morgan. It JP representative is CEO of Trikomsel.
CarrierNet is ONLY RTO in name, a clausewas insert to allow big Investors
not to buy over (take over code) after getting more then controlling
share stake.
I see it as mid to long term bet by BBs to promote their interest in SEA (Asian regional using PTPL)
Just promoting stk/shr trading interest in SJ.

The board of directors (the “Board”) of Polaris Ltd. (the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the 
“Group”) refers to its announcement (“Announcement”) dated 1 April 2013 in relation to the entry 
into Distributor Agreement with Singtel Group Companies, the Group has established four (4) retail 
outlets in suburban retail malls in Singapore namely, Paya Lebar Square, Nex and Hougang 1 to 
carry out sales, marketing and promotional activities in order to promote and procure the sale of 
telecommunications and/or broadcasting services by the SingTel Group Companies, and fulfil its role 
as distributor for SingTel Group Companies. 
The establishment of these retail outlets will be funded by the cash proceeds raised from the 
Subscription as stated in the Company’s circular sent to shareholders on 3 April 2013. 
The retail outlets are expected to contribute positively to the financial performance of the Group for
the current financial year ending 31 December 2013.  |
