I glad to be wrong on the STI. Lets hope that there will be more bullish days to come and we can end the year with a big bang!

I agree with singaporegal.

The coming holidays would see a slow down in trading volumes. My bet is that STI will go sideways.

Hmmm...

With the great showing of the Dow, it looks like there's going to be a lot of "prodded lazy sleeping cobras" which will suddenly surge vertically from the ground in the weeks ahead...

Hard to say for STI. Its very overbought now and holidays are coming.

My gut feel is that it'll probably go sideways or downtrend a little

Singaporegal,

Hi! So based on your technical analysis, STI still trending up?

Thanks!

This is usual on a Friday. People do not want to hold counters over a weekend. As it nears Christmas, I guess this will become even more acute

STI showing sign of weakness. Seems like PP are not willing to hold positions over weekend.

Might be worth taking some put warrants for a gamble.

Wow, CIMB expects STI between 3,000 to 3,100 by Q1 2007 ...

when crossing the hundreds, eg 2700, 2800, 2900, ...normally the correction will take place and then attempt to hit the hundreds again. If fails, then it will bearish till a new support is found.

So I saw a strong support during this round and with the fundamentally sound economy,  I predict that it will stay above 2900 till end of the year. However, STI will still be affected if the regional markets perform otherwise.

With that, I bought Hang Seng Index call warrant this morning with confident that the asia market will up further.  In fact Hang Seng has up 200 pts and Nikkei up 103 pts today.

If tonight's  Dow offers inspiration, all should be well... and maybe we may have a couple of  delicious "cheongs" like SunningTech today...

maybe but it hit the spot which i guess it will hit..

so the story may still go on wif small correction tomolo or other day to keep it within the band of 2840 - 2920
