By any yardstick. SPOILERS - Did you did something, to error?. Do you feel sorry for someone?.

Most important is....The real losser is voters who spoilted their vote, spoilted the market.

Spoilted vote took up 37,826 rejected votes. who will then decide who is d real winner.

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/blogs/singaporescene/singaporeans-still-value-political-stability-analysts-215336375.html

2.27 million Singaporeans were eligible to vote in this year's Presidential Election, the first Presidential Election in 18 years. Total votes received were 2,153,014, inclusive of the 37,826 rejected votes.
Tony Tan wins the PE by the narrowest of margins -- a mere 0.34 per cent of total votes.

Singaporeans still value political stability and are not quite ready for a President who speaks up more and is an activist, said political analysts Yahoo! Singapore spoke to.

Establishment: PAP has had lost the heart, voters  has spoken and wanted a more active president.
Establishment has done a great job  in splitting the voters for Dr TCB, with TJS and TKL lossing.

Establishment: 35% Anti-Establishment: 65% - This is the result of this election.

Note: There are 150,000 S'poreans overseas not taken into account,  but only 9 polling stations with about 5,500 voters. Result show real winner is not TT, if and when 150,000 oversea S'poreans is taken into account.

teeth53: Voters messages is very clear to ruling PAP, 65% don't want TT for president job.

The last May GE resulted - shown as 60.1% for and 39.9% against, voting patten indicated party ideology line for voters prefrence.

This time, a elective presidential post has had nothing to do with how Singapore is to be run.

On top for it. it oni hav to take one, oni one Law Ministry. Mr K.Shanmugan to debunks notions on what president can say.

Can ONLY speak. ONLY as cabinet advised. Can on act as chairman for presidential adivsed.

Following is what voters patten can gather, based on assumption of what is a general election and what is a presidential election is...At stake, is  TT a change man for presidential job..?.

TT (PAP Ex-MP, Ex-Ministry and Ex DPM) - elitees, plus some fatees rich and NTUC old guards (not an endosement by NTUC ordinary folks members)
Note: Dr Tony Tan is widely seen as the Govt’s preferred candidate. It is something he will have to grapple with going into the campaign. who he had been associated with staunch support for 27 years as PAP party cadre member to LKY.

TCB (PAP Ex-MP, 6 terms and is very up front, a presidential hopeful fighter) - West side more vote then east, plus some daftees not happy with TT

TJS (most recently stood for as oppostion MP, was unsuccessful) - right after may 2011 election, now depending on SDP, plus some unhappy voter daftees with V.van

TKL (Once counted to stand as PAP MP candidate and most recently was invited by WP-Mr LKT to give GE May, 2011 speeches) - East side more vote then West, plus some datees unhappy with PAP policy.

In my own personnal opinion. Since lehman and it finance crisis, many hundred, if not thousand had ask TKL to go for d president post. It is oni logical for TKL to move forward, as seen best connected to d people's and giving hope, aspiration and better life for common folks.

Just sharing my thot. Voting for the Honourable Excellency the President.

Choices is yours as many Singaporeans feel about themselves passionately on each politcal belief. Now there are four hopefuls.

How well can presidential hopeful get connected with citizens and capable of unifying Singaporeans.

Result will tell in the night of Aug 27, 2011.

I wishes all four presidential hopeful, all the best.

How GE is play out in May General election, it has nothing got to do with how people's and ordinary folks will vote...on how Singapore is to be rule on party ideology.

The president elected is more a consultative rather then combative. (check n balances on govt) It is mean for unity, to united today various diversities group view and opinion. The right, the left and the middle ground.

Oni one that can speak four languages has the best hope, is there one..?. " Why you need one to speak 4 languages?"

The elitees role: There is one and oni one cannot speak other languages, except English was trying to win all Malay, Chinese, and Indian fren...plus all the king men...Ai ai sir.

The oppostion role: There is one who depending on combative role for president to check and balance what govt does.... Rolling Eyes with help personnally from Nicole Seah, plus some other oppositon who fail to be elected as MPs - still thinking this is something like GE... Rolling Eyes

The ground shifter:   yet there is one who just mentioned 1 2 shift the presidential ground, err.... did I heard wrongly on TV..?.

The insurance man: and the last and oni one who just spoken in English...Ya, his English is not that good or speak perfect English, is asking us to give him a chance to show his, his personnal  worthiness to be elected as president... Very Happy

I guess anyone who can win is oni just about that much, just by a few percentage oni.
