Thanks, YenYen.

Yalor, but US market is a strange one: Strong economical growths = Decline in Dow & Nasdaq (due to interest rate scare). So it is very unpredictable till this Friday - only 3 days away. Lets wait and see then.

My take still a surprising 'Hike Pause' ....

I say "rate pause". It's too early from the last one.

Thanks, Tanglinboy!
Below latest report 50-50% on 8th August Fed meeting ...
Beware that even if there is a rate pause on 8th August, the next Fed meeting is on 20th September (last day of S'pore IMF & World bank meeting). So timing is crucial now till September.
Overall, I expect one more rate hike for this year - should be 20th September (my guess).

Hey all you guys out there .............. 8th August could be a Rally for stock markets world-wide.

Boring market now, lets have some fun and do a survey ourselves: Do you see a 'Rate Hike' or a 'Rate Pause' on before 8th August?

I am going for a PAUSE due to prolonged market correction .... You?

Hi Prettylisa
Its a 50-50% chance of a good rally coming next week from what I see ..... you have to make your own decision. But if you do buy, get ready to offload by mid September. I wouldn't be surprise if there's a hike pause as market has been correcting for a while now. Trade with care .......

Poole" Still undecided on whether Fed should hike in Aug.

prettylisa,

Chances for the market to surge only if the announcement is for interest rate to pause.  But then again, it is also possible for it to inch up another notch.  So its still a little risk for positioning.  Be prepare to cut losses if otherwise.

All the best.

Hi billywows, thank you for the article. So I guess this week would be a very good time to buy into the market?

Standby for an expected rally should there be a interest rate PAUSE on 08th Aug (our National day next day, so holiday ah). So remember to position yourself earlier .....
