i m quietly optimistic about this rights issue, its like getting a free kick in front of goal :) more chance of scoring than missing.

But then again ...looking at how it is traded the last few weeks..looks like the rights exercise will be futile..unless CKs are playing games and hoping to buy them low.

I once bought rights of Lantrovision at 2 cts..but then CK played up rights after conversion to  30cts.. laughing all the way to the bank..dont know whether this will happen to Biotreat or not.

In most cases, it is highly likely that it will trade from 4cts downwards to..3cts?...It all depend  if market will support this company exericse. In general, if the shareholders don't subscribe it, they will have to let go below 4cts as incentives for interested new buyers to get it in the open market.

Do you guys think that the rights will trade lower than 4 cts?

Watch this four words "It all depend if ......." in my reply. Stock market behaviour on supply and demand is something very hard to predict, do your own calculations and homework.

If I understand this right issue correctly, existing shareholders will be given 1 for 1 at 4cent each, which can be sold in the open market when the trading window period is opened for this right shares. For example, if one got 50-lot at 7cent earlier, he will be given 50-lot rights shr at 4-cent each, and if he is able to sell away all rights shr at 4cent during the trading window, the average is 5.5cent for his existing 50-lot. However, it all depend on the market to support this exerise, whether the rights shr will be traded more or less than 4cent.

I was expecting this fellow to staying above 6 cents for a small gain in subscribing to the shares on a theoretical 5.5 cents average.  (7 + 4 = 11 div 2 = 5.5) , so 6 cent probably gives a little peanut incentive to subscribe.  Thus if  the price falls below 5 cents, there being little for the existing shareholders to pay for rights, the right issue might fail instead and the exercise will probably be in vain.  The company's woes will come back to square one. Thinking loud only...

Not sure if all the cash proceeds from right issues go to settle loan? Last known was part of it will be used for business development. It is quite common for company to raise money to pay off loan to reduce interests charges. The question is whether all shareholders or market will support fully this exercise....No risk no gain.

Its getting cash just to pay for loans??! A bit risky then.

I understand that the new management has good people compared with the old management.  Properly run, this counter can crawl back to above $1.00 in a very short time. Maybe give them one year after additional funds are obtained from the rights and then interests eating loans will be paid off.  The past problems were because of heavy financial cost that exceeds profits, so if interests eating loans are abolished, you can see this fellow moves up quickly.

The book closure date is 25/11, 5pm. If you have faith in the long term prospects of this company, than it is worth keep. In the short term, due to past board management problems, it will not be attractive, take sometimes to settle it. However, this company business model is good and huge potential in China. Do you own homework, buyer beware.
