Hope that by next reporting it will bring back its glorious days.
Only then we can see some light!!!!!!!!!

Uptrending stocks have a step up support level. When the price bound on the support level, it's set to goes higher and the next support level is higher, so the risk is actually smaller. Downtrending stocks have a step down support level. When the price bound on the support level, its upside is limited and next support level is lower, so the risk is higher. You are right that this depends on our risk appetite, but our resources are limited. If our resources is stuck long-term in a stock that does not move, worst still in a downtrending stock, we are incurring high opportunity cost. It's much better to allocate those resources to other uptrending stocks and grow that resources than hoping that one day our stock would suddenly jump to the moon (this rarely happens).
There are cases where we are right in all our research and analysis, the company does everything right, but the stock price just won't move. This is part of the nature of the stock market. This is just my personal view, you don't have to take it seriously. Good luck.

sometimes we are caught in between:
buying downtrend stock e.g li heng -> with improve earning, at 52wk low, net cash. Maybe need patient but you will still be rewarded when it start a real rebound. Look at china hx. 2 mths ago it was dump to 11 cts. Nobody wants it. But eventually, it still rebound until current level 18cts. tats about 60-70% profit.
Buying an uptrend stock, are expose to higher risk as any shocking news happen, they are the ones corrected the most.
So depend you ur risk appetite. No right or wrong. As long somehow you can earn is good. |

Li Heng is in a Downtrend spiral, unless it breaks this trend, you should not Buy this counter. One of the Rules for Going Long... Never Buy a Downtrending Stock. I made this mistake with Noble Grp too, so I know how you feel. It sucks, but sometime you really need to learn how to let go. Good luck. |
