I mean if you are burnt by one or a few S-chips, you should know your reason. If you get f**-ed, it is always a wrong decision you made and cannot be anything else. But it does not mean that all S-chips are craps. It is the investors who are not conversant with what they are going into. In most cases they are naive in the belief that the exchange will take care of listing criteria that are constructive and benefiting the market.

Are you an idiot? I mean idiot investor or one really no time to waste except reading forums and answering them like a stupid schoolboy? Give your facts man or girl, but don't just say f**k and then don't know where you got f**king about. Jokes...
All capital market consists of three main pillar parts: Listed company (playing tool), Stock Exchange house (playing field) and Investor (player). Please study broadly on all three of this aspect for accountability of healthy share trading and investing development. We just can't simply purely blame Listed company (i.e. S-chip) to hold all the responsibility as the main culprit, can we?

20% S-chips listed here, 9 or more still cant pay debts, some are already suspended / delisted.
Its understandable why SGX has to set up 'Post-listing Monintoring Unit' for S-chips. Some family-owned companies are not able to draw line between Shareholdings and Management. Post-listing Education has been enforced thougg, but the S-chips companies are still 'tumbling' their ways to become a globalised listed company. During their learning process, along the way, there are bound to have failures and casualties.
So, as a shareholder of these companies, if you believe the companies have potential, you may have your hands in it, if not, if you are the UNLUCKY ones, you will be part of the Casualties.

But mainly they shouldn't be allowed here in the first place without stringent scrutiny or foresight from those whose job is to allow or disallow minefields to be put up for the investing retailers.

after few yrs listing in singpore and profited from it and then delist or let it rot and got it suspended then set up another new company in china.....真利害!
My general analysis of s-chips from gaining IPO to being delisted -
Why a compnay want to boost their earning?
1) in order to gain authorisation for an IPO,
2) to issue new shares or;
3) to avoid being delisted.
Along the line,a company's share price can be propped up as the share price is the key basis for managerial compensatoin,. The higher the share price, the more they get the $$.
We can see that there were sudden big surge of some s-chips companies share price , thereafter, price dipped dramatically and then, company being delisted or suspended.
So biased that I believe you will loss opportunity cost for all potential S chips!

China has advanced beyond our imagination, probably 10 years if not 30 years developed ahead of Singapore. Cities like Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing etc, bear testimony to this great progress in recent years.
So probably you may like to examine if these Germs are local or imported or are they homegrown, hahaha.

Same old question time and again asking everyone "Have you visited China before?". Boring
I do not see any relevancy of your question in this subject here.
Singaporeans are well traveled and I am no exception. If it is feasible and economically viable and the service is easily available, we may have already visited the moon by now man!!!!

As long as no wrong doings prevail, we can accept the bad fate as investors putting money on wrong companies after hindsight, despite our confidence and faithfulness in the greater belief of our good system that might somehow have hiccups for us. We will strive our best to be better investors.

Yes, Too bad.... I should say SGX authority is probably lack of expertise and competitive advantages to attract ample of far better and good potential S-chip counter than US, EURO, HONG KONG SAR, TAIWAN etc. stock exchange houses.

Look at those China companies listed in NYSE and NASDAQ, they are doing so well and their stock prices are in the mostly ten to $300 range. In STI of course they are the laggards because of no play. Another reason is STI accepts only rotten borderline companies for IPOs which shows up their colours after listing. So don't blame anyone
