As per yesterday’s announcement, MSCI Inc, a leading provider of investment decision support tools worldwide, including indices and portfolio risk and performance analytics, announced changes to the MSCI Equity Indices. Among the changes announced, included the addition of Yangzijiang as part of the MSCI Singapore Index (that consists of stocks traded primarily on the Singapore Stock Exchange). ("Yangzijiang" or "the Group" or ""), is delighted to announce that it has been added to the MSCI Singapore Index.

On 3 Nov 2009, Yangzijiang announced its Unaudited Financial Statement and Dividend Announcement for the Third Quarter Ended 30 September 2009. The Group recorded an all time high 9 month earnings of RMB1.6 billion that surpassed the earnings for entire FY2008. This was achieved against an increase of 31% in turnover for 9M2009 to RMB7.2 billion with the progressive rise in the new yard’s productivity. "
The Group also managed to secure shipbuilding contracts to build six (6) 92,500 DWT Multi-purpose Bulkers and two (2) 19,000 DWT Multi-purpose Bulkers with an aggregate value of USD300 million with deliveries going up to 2012. This brought the order book to USD5.8 billion comprising of 134 vessels as at 3 November 2009 and till that date the Group has not witnessed any cancellation of order from any customer.
We are hoping that this inclusion would help to increase the liquidity of the stock in addition to getting more fund managers, institutions and investors take a closer look at Yangzijiang."
