Possibly a down day for the STI too tomorrow (Wed)...

The full moon is just passed... waxing now.

Dow was down... -80pts at the close...

May affect the STI today, together with the waning moon phase.

Up till now the Dow has easily surpassed a record of high of 13,666.

And tonight, it's still rising...

I don't understand why it is so 'scary' for indexes to rise???

The index will continue to rise simply because of the correction in end Feb/early Mar.

Dow is nicely up above 13500.  It must hold above this level on Monday to make it a good sign.

With a strong record-breaking Dow Index closing so strongly on a weekend, it is a sign of underlying strength, especially if one looks at the period chart...

This is very positive for the markets...

Dow rise slightly ... 3rd day in a row

The Dow Jones industrial average (up 14.71 to 13,120.21, Charts) ended the session slightly higher, with the blue-chip barometer duplicating last week's record run-up by closing at a record high for the third straight day.

The tech-laden Nasdaq composite (up 1.07 to 2,555.53, Charts) closed slightly higher, reaching its highest level in over 6 years. The broader S&P 500 (down 0.74 to 1,493.51, Charts) index closed slightly lower.

Another day... yet another firm Dow throughout last night's session...

Up +16pts... without intra-session big swings... :)

From now it is likely to be smallish corrections and further penetration of the record highs..

Indeed, 'true to form', the Dow rose +136 pts... making a new record high!

Thus making the case for a continued bull run even stronger... :)

[Error 2006 correcetd]

Looking at the 2-year Dow chart, the May 2006 correction occurred after some 6-7 months of smooth rising.

This year, the difference is that a major  correction has already just taken place in Feb/Mar 2007. Thus the Dow should now head higher after having just shaken out the bears...

You squeeze the bird too tight it dies, you hold it loosely, the bird flys away. Like what Jim Cramer says sell 1/3 of the holdings "if you are sitting on a profit. "BooYa Jim"
